We came to Ornos because we heard the sea was beautiful—and it truly is! The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for swimming. However, the beach experience itself was quite disappointing. • Two sunbeds cost €50, which is actually reasonable by Mykonos standards, so no complaints there. • We specifically chose this beach over the more expensive ones because there was no minimum spend requirement and we hoped for a more relaxed day. Unfortunately, the man managing the sunbeds was extremely rude. The umbrella barely covers both beds, and when we tried to adjust a sunbed for shade, he approached us rudely and said it was forbidden. When we explained it was too sunny and offered no shade, he replied sarcastically, “You’re at the beach, what do you expect?” Honestly, the point of a sunbed and umbrella is to get some shade. • There were no showers available—which was shocking. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a beach without showers, even at the most basic ones in Turkey or Italy. • Without proper shade or a place to have showrr, we ended up saying we might as well have just brought a towel and laid on the sand. • The food was okay, but the octopus was not delicious, which is unusual for the Greek islands. • The fried calamari and its sauce were also far too salty.
All in all, the sea is lovely but the service and facilities really took away from...

Me and my Partner was booked into Aprentio by Omnia Hotel (which offer a 10% discount at this restaurant) it is a 6/7 minute walk from the Hotel and is located right on the seafront of Ornos Beach! They cater for all dietary needs my partner being vegetarian had a variety of veggie options in the end she ordered the Stuffed Mushroom Ravioli and I had fried Cod. Unfortunately due to Exceptionally strong winds the outside seating area wasn’t available but the views from the inside of the restaurant is still amazing. Considering Mykonos is considered as “quite expensive” this is the complete opposite my Fried Cod was €18 and was well worth the money and they don’t charge service charge so tipping is optional in this situation I tipped our Waiter for the night George who looked after us so well considering it was his 2nd day, we will definitely be returning here when we...
Read moreOur favourite beach bar in Ornos - its competitors just can’t compare. Service here is the friendliest and food (the fish in particular) the freshest and most flavoursome. The tuna tartar is a strong recommendation of mine, and the moussaka a strong recommendation from my friend. We also had the salmon fillet with martini sauce, saffron and back wild rice, as well as the mushroom starter, and both were great. We tried 5 different cocktails - all left a very heavy aftertaste (especially the long islands), so if you like your alcohol masked, perhaps steer away from the cocktail menu. The nice thing about Aperanto Galazio is that when there are no free beach beds, they offer you a spot at the bar with the promise to come collect you once a spot becomes available - we can’t say the same about its neighbours Kostantis or Kuzina, who either directed us to the side of the premise or didn’t offer us the option of a wait...
