Fikas Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Hotel Fikas is a small family run hotel by Toula and her mother. I stayed in hotel Fikas during my visit to Naxos in August 2018 with my wife and 7 year old daughter. Upon arrival, we were given a warm welcome by Toula. The check-in was very quick and everything was kept ready. Toula was very accommodating, hospitable and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the room had good wifi connectivity. The hotel is 10 mins walk to St. George beach and 5 mins walk to the supermarket. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool and the rooms are clean. We are extremely grateful to Toula for dropping us to the port in time for our ferry to Athens or else it would have been a huge inconvenience to change all our bookings accordingly. She was our savior of the day. Overall the hotel exceeded our expectations and it was value for money. I would definitely stay in this hotel during my next visit to this island and would highly recommend this hotel to anybody...

The hotel is nice and quiet and much better than you would expect for a 2 star hotel. Rooms are great sized with refrigerator, flatscreen, aircon and wifi and they are cleaned every day. The pool-area was sunny and cosy. Breakfast was great too. We enjoyed the breakfast both inside and outside at the terrace. About 5-10 minutes walk to the closest beach and 15-20 min walk to Choras. ||||The best thing with the whole stay was the wonderful, warm and welcoming host/owner Stamatoula and her family. They picked us up at the airport and throughout our stay they went out of their way to accomodate us even though the season was busy. She even served me tea in my room without me asking for it. Das neu gebaute Hotel liegt etwas abseits des Hotelviertels von Chora am südlichen Rand der Hauptstadt- leider zwischen zwei Hauptverkehrsstraßen, sodass die Verkehrsgeräusche nachmittags störten. Ab 0 Uhr wurde es dann aber so ruhig, dass man auch bei offenem Fenster schlafen konnte. Die Zimmer, die jeden Tag gereinigt werden, sind groß genug für alle Koffer, Strandartikel, Bekleidungsstücke und was man als Tourist noch so mit sich führt. Es gibt TV, Telefon, Kühlschrank, einen Balkon und Klimaanlage. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Pool, einen kleinen Essbereich mit Terrasse, in dem das Frühstück serviert wird (Standardfrühstück mit Sesambrot, Eiern, Marmelade/ Honig, Wurst/ Käse, Kuchen, Yoghurt, Tee/ Kaffee -- ok und man wird satt) sowie eine Fernsehecke. Das Areal wirkt gepflegt. Das Personal ist sehr herzlich, freundlich und spricht überwiegend englisch. Ein großer Supermarkt befindet sich nur fünf Minuten vom Hotel entfernt. Ins Stadtzentrum sind es etwa 20 Minuten Fussweg, an den Strand, an dem es drei Windsurfstationen (Naxos Surf Club und Flisvos) gibt, ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss. Zum Strand gelangt man über einen Schotterweg, der an Feldern und ein paar kleineren Hotels vorbeiführt. Kurz vorm Strand gilt es noch eine rasant befahrene Straße zwischen zwei Kurven zu überqueren, was wir meist im Laufthempo machten (war auch besser so). |Besonders zu empfehlen ist das einfache griechische Restaurant Yialos am St. Georges Beach. Der super Service und das leckere Essen haben einfach überzeugt! Tolles Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis. Man sitzt dort fünf Meter vom Meer entfernt und kann sein kühles Mythos- Bier genießen!|Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner und entspannender Trip (bis auf den Aufenthalt in Athen bei An- und Abreise- die Fähre/ der Flug ging immer erst sechs Stunden später)!
