Naxian Spirit Inn — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

The room was beautiful and clean but we experienced some problems while staying there. Our first day was the worst. The hotel had reserved 2 taxis to come pick us up from the port but they never came so we had to find our own and then they told us they came but they never found us which is hard to believe. We stayed at the room for 6 people. My friend took a shower in the bathroom upstairs and the room filled with water and it started runnning down the walls to the first floor because the drain was clogged. But the problem was solved the next day as the owner called a plumber even though we still did not use the upstairs bathroom because the ceiling was really low and uncomfortable without a window. In the bathroom on the first floor we found 3 cockroaches and almost all of us were afraid of them and could not sleep at night at all. One man came and put insecticide on some rocks that were on the floor as a decoration and then we saw that there was a hole on the wall and all the cockroaches came through that. Be careful!. We made a reservation for a deluxe quadruple room according to the pictures in their website. Our surprise was that we got a different room in the basement of an annex building. We complained but we the owner proposed us no suitable solution. The room inside was nice, with a jacuzzi inside. Beds quite uncomfortable. Air conditioning worked ok. Worst thing was the noise, day and night cars continuously passing few cm away from the door so it seemed as the car passed next to the bed. We all 4 had terrible sleeping and no rest at all during these holidays. There was also total lack of privacy since the only window was at street level and anyone walking by could easily see everything inside. Location is not convenient as compared to other hotels since it is in the outkirts of naxos, 15 mins walking to chora, may seem not too much, but in the middle of the heat of august we would have prefer a more central location. If going to Naxos I would avoid it, we saw much better...
