Pahivouni Studios & Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Our stay last week at Pahivouni (Studio Aloni Groundfloor) was simply outstanding and exceeded all my expectations. Here is a detailed review of our experience:

Facility and Rooms: The facility is beautifully maintained and exudes a calm, inviting atmosphere. Our studio was spacious and impeccably clean. The owner, Vassilis, describes himself as a cleanliness fanatic and tells me he checks on the rooms personally- and it shows: It’s spotlessly clean. Everything was freshly washed and smelled delightful, even the bedspreads and sofa cushion covers.

Room Amenities: The studio was very modern and at the same time simple, making it particularly cozy. The decor is tasteful and functional, and I felt at home immediately. The sea view was amazing and the sea is only a few meters away.

Location: The location could not be better. Although it is very quiet, it is only a short walk to the harbor, where you can find numerous restaurants, bars, and a supermarket. This combination of tranquility and proximity to key points is unbeatable.

Service and Hospitality: The owner Vassilis is exceptionally warm and hospitable. He takes a lot of time for his guests, gives valuable tips for the island, and is always approachable. At the reception, he has everything you might need – from waterkettles to umbrellas, information about the area and much more. In our case we checked out early and left the Island in the evening. Vassilis kept our luggage during the day, provided us with an extra showerroom and bathroom before our departure.

Conclusion: My stay at Pahivouni Studios was perfect in every way. The impeccable cleanliness, cozy and modern furnishings, quiet yet central location, and Vassilis’ warm hospitality made our vacation unforgettable. The first thing I will talk about is the first one we spotted at 1:00 AM after our arrival on the island with the Blue Star Ferry: Vasillis. He's the kindest person we met in Donoussa and it was like we met years ago. He gave us many directions and made up a map himself on GMaps with the best POI to visit on Donoussa. The room was perfect, clean and tidy, simple but complete with everything we needed. The location was very close to the port and this means you're really close to markets, bar and restaurant, but far enough to enjoy some quiet time during the night. I sincerely don't think we could have made a better decision, choosing Pahivouni for out stay in Donoussa. The cherry on a pie is the fact that when we left it was raining, like Greek gods own tears, and Vasillis safely escorted us to the port with his own car even if the port was like 200m far. I...

This is the actual best place in Greece. Vassilis is such an amazing host and when you arrive will give you a talk through of the best places to eat, what the beaches are like, transport around the island and anything you could possibly need to know.

I travelled here as a solo female traveller at 18 in July. The rooms are so nice and well designed, they are immaculate and have plenty of room. They are nice and close to the main beach (about a 3 minute walk) and all of the food places too. Donoussa is a little slice of heaven. Yucca is great for breakfast, Iliovasilema has amazing food and Kedros beach is so so beautiful (especially early in the morning).
