Marika Apartments Kassiopi — Hotel in Municipality of Northern Corfu

This is the third time we have stayed in the Marika. This year we went with extended family so we had 3 apartments. Number 6 a 2 bedroom apt with 3 balconys ( 1 with sea view) number 7 a 2 bedroom apt with 2 balconys ( 1 with sea view) these were both on the 1st floor. Then we had number 3 as studio apt on the ground floor with a sea view. All apartments were suitable to our needs. They were a bit dated but fully functional with everything for a self catering holiday. The pool area was lovely and we all enjoyed using the pool. Location wise, you couldn't ask for a better setting. Direct access to the beach and a short walk to the shops, restaurants and harbour. We will be going back . We were very disappointed with our stay. The house was dirty, and all the bed linens had stains. There were three beds but only one blanket. After asking several times, we finally received one more. Two of the beds were broken, very noisy, and unstable. We informed the owners, but their response was that since we had already been there for two days, they couldn’t do anything about it. I also attached photos.

The kitchen chairs were almost broken, and the pool was dirty, with other people’s clothes lying in pool. We stayed for eight days, and nobody seemed to care or clean up. The beach nearby was also full of trash.

Basic and clean apartments that are seconds from the beach. A great kitchen and shower. A cute garden-view veranda. An on-site pool.

Cons - Our apartment (No 1) was dark. The lack of a sofa meant there is nowhere to relax. There was no-one to meet us at the apartment. Your name is written on a piece of paper and tacked to a door. No-one explained this prior to checking in so when we arrived we hadn’t a clue. A kind gentleman from the apartments next door saw us wandering around and offered to help.
