Old School Restaurant Kassiopi — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

One of the better tourist restaurants in the center of Kassiopi, both in terms of quality and value for money.

It's the least expensive among the centrally located ones with comparable service and conditions (i.e. centrally located, traditional food and view over the harbor).

The service is ok on average. On one evening we had to wait far too long for one of the meat-based stifados/mains, but on average the service is fairly efficient.

All dishes are good quality, with two exceptions: the pita bread, while being good and tasting fresh, is way too salty (and I do enjoy salty and savory food so it's said from somebody who often adds salt to their dishes). The fried calamari were ok, but the batter was not as crispy as in other restaurants in the area. Very good kids menu at competitive prices.

Overall you can't go wrong though, it's one of the best touristy places to eat...

Generally, if we land on a great restaurant on holiday then we'll make it the special one for our final night. This place was so good we ended up going there 3 nights out of 7! Beautiful Greek food, full of flavour. The pastitsada I had every time because of how delicious it was and the complimentary orange pie at the end of the meal was to die for. In all of my visits to Greece, I don't think I've ever had a pudding as tasty or memorable. My partner had the kleftiko and sofrito which were also lovely. The saganaki cheese was delicious with a sweet chilli dip and the cheese-stuffed sausage. No matter how many times you tell yourself to have fewer courses the next time round, it's just impossible not to want to eat everything and it's no wonder I've gained more than a few pounds! The spot was nice. The service also. We had greek salad, fried potatoes, tzatziki, bourdeto, sofrito, wine. The plates appeared good. The tastes for a Greek were mediocre. What really annoyed me was that when the check came, it seemed a little higher than expected. I then asked from the waiter the pricelist. To my surprise they had added one to three euros more at each plate compared to the pricelist. When I told the woman in charge, she became aggressive and rude. She tried to convince us that by mistake we had been given the wrong pricelist by presenting another with corrected prices. Personally I believe it was an intended "mistake" only to cheat us..
