We ate at the Thraka Grill House twice during our week stay in Kassiopi. It was honestly the best food we had during our holiday - fantastic service and amazing taste.
Whilst it is a very popular restaurant, you won't usually struggle to find a table if you're in a midsized group. The restaurant itself is decorated nicely, well maintained and clean with great views towards the hills over Kassiopi and the main street. Fantastic atmosphere.
All staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient, especially the dark haired girl who was very polite and asked us if we enjoyed the meal.
We tried the tzatziki starters, garlic bread starters, spit roasted pork belly and mixed grills during our visits. The meat is some of the best I've ever tasted, you can tell that it's of a high quality. The portion sizes are perfect, and the half chicken had tons of meat on it.
The wine is the best we've tasted - the sweet red wine - at a very reasonable price (€5 for half a litre). Soft drinks were also well priced, and we usually ordered water with our meals too.
It all came to a fantastic price despite the fantastic quality, €60 for a family of four with starters, mains, wine, soft drinks and water is fantastic. You're also served with a free ice cream for dessert which is a lovely bonus.
If you're staying in Kassiopi, you can't miss the Thraka Grill House. It's probably the best food and wine available in the village, with fantastic,...
Read moreI don’t write reviews often but this place is totally worth putting my word out there! I’ve been to Kassiopi now for 3 days and I’m addicted to Thraka restaurants food and I cannot stop from coming back there! First of all- this restaurant has an amazing Greek food selection that is beyond amazing , I absolutely love their delicious meats but also what makes me want to keep coming back there is the super welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff. Staff is super welcoming and nice, even the owner of the restaurant sat down with me and had the most welcoming/friendly chat which is so rare! They have a very high hygiene and food standards which is a must. They also super nice to local animals and always feeding them, keeping a bowl of water if they thirsty at all times which speaks volumes about how nice and kind they are. If I have a place for food on my holiday then this place is definitely my favourite in Greece and I will be coming back again if I’ll...
Read moreLast time we were here we had a takeaway gyros, served by the youngest girl we'd ever been served by, she was very friendly and chatty fir someone as young....... move forward 4 years and this time we decided to ear in, the food, we had gyros again was very tasty and the price very reasonable, so well worth coming here fir the food, but the two staff seamed to walk past us for 20 mins before I finally had to asked for the menu as they just seamed to be ignoring us....... it wasn't because the place was overly busy just they didn't ask if we'd like a menu....... which really annoyed my better half. So I have mixed reviews for the staff and to be fair once they did bring the menus, they were friendly enough...... they would of gotten 5 stars if they'd acknowledged us on arrival / within 20 mins of arrival! So 4 stars for food a price and one star dropped for service at the start. I'd still eat here, just next time we'll...
