FALIREON HOTEL — Hotel in Municipality of Palaio Faliro

Overall the experience wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. We booked a transfer which was badly handled, we had to wait for an hour to get in contact with the transfer company. The second transfer we booked had the wrong location, so definitely don't do that through the hotel. Upon arrival, there was no one at the desk to welcome us, so we had to wait yet again. The room was clean and tidy, pretty nice. The bathroom was subpar, with a badly fitted toilet seat. We asked for two singles and got two singles that were pushed together to make a double, which would have made it awkward if we weren't family. We couldn't actually get to our room because the hotel staff kept calling the elevator down while we were inside, so we almost got stuck in there as the doors would lock before we could get out on our floor. The breakfast was good, but the set up was a bit awkward and the atmosphere was strange. I would say we were misled by the high ratings on booking.com We thought we booked a nice Hotel when really it was the type of place you book last minute for a quick stay. Definitely wouldn't recommend it for over a night or two. Other than that the staff were polite and helpful when they could, and the location...

Good location next to tram. Easy access to the marina. Very close to water square and the opera house. Nice places to eat out, especially the marina. It was very hot, would like to explore more in the cooler months. |Room was very clean and modern 505 with nice view from balcony. Small room, but comfortable beds, fridge and excellent aircon. Shower perfect. |The staff are good. The only downside was the breakfast. Orange juice not fresh and machine was broken. No alternative offered.|Breakfast items were poor and fried eggs cold and greasy as were sausages. No much choice, croissants were dry and tiny. |Such a shame as everything else was good. we just arrived and a cockroach welcomed us.(we arrived at night btw 10pm) and still saw all the food of chef gusto from yesterday ´s breakfast still on display yes at 10pm.i didnt know greeks dry age their breakfast!(wonder how fresh and comestible the food is) we then went to the room and saw another cockroach! !the bathroom door doesnt work(it stays wide open) so we had to take turns.The sheets had fake eyelashes white weird liquid and sheets are so thin i got a cold.crazy enough people started banging on our door at night because we were "talking".Wifi is a paid actor doesnt work.Water isnt drinkable for some reason it taste like...
