Great location, but overpriced and in miserable condition!
We stayed at Paco’s Resort on Paxos with two couples and two teenagers (16 years old) in what was advertised as a “villa” for up to 8 people. Unfortunately, the accommodation did not match the description at all.
The “villa” had only two separate bedrooms with private bathrooms, plus a small single room with a toilet and just a curtain as separation, one of the teenagers had to sleep there. The second teenager had to sleep in the living room on an uncomfortable metal bed. Especially at this age, privacy is very important, and this was not respected at all.
The overall furnishing felt careless and improvised: walls, furniture, and floors were pieced together with mismatched marble, leaving a cheap and inconsistent impression. The first impression of the living room with the metal beds felt more like a makeshift solution than a proper “villa.” In addition, the toilets were in a very unhygienic state. We had to buy chlorine from the supermarket ourselves just to make them usable. Towels were not provided daily, only upon request did we receive some fresh ones. We were told that this was not a hotel with daily service or cleaning. In one of our bedrooms, there was also a very loud noise from a pump, apparently supplying water or draining sewage for the entire property. This unit was directly outside our bedroom window and could be heard around the clock, even with the window closed. Sleeping was nearly impossible. On the positive side, we did receive a free parking card for the otherwise paid Paco's parking lot in the town center. Parking was also possible right in front of the accommodation itself. However, there was a constantly open access door leading to a backyard right next to the house, the view was unpleasant and dirty, adding to the overall negative impression.
All in all, the entire resort was in a miserable condition. A real pity, as the location on Paxos has potential, but in its current state, we cannot recommend...
Read moreWe really wanted to like this place because the owner is just great. And this is why we are giving it 2 stars instead of just 1. And the pool that is super nice but filled with dead bugs. BUT, the place is too far from town - you need a car so why stay there?, It's completely dysfunctional in its design: there is a step in the middle of the room you keep falling on, the bathroom has 2 doors from 2 different directions that keep slamming into each other, the bedroom has a glass door that looks like a shower door in the the main room. The bathroom was dingy. Just poorly designed. It has nothing to offer - does not even offer coffee. And the internet does not work, nor the cellular.|They offer a ride to and from the ferry and they are very nice. I really wanted to like the place, but we left to the boutique hotel which made...
Read moreWe had such a lovely stay at Paco’s Resort! We booked the pink villa with sea view. Suzana made us feel so welcome and helped make our trip so good. From meeting us at the ferry to making sure we were comfortable during our stay with extra pillows and even accommodating us on our last day while we waited for the afternoon ferry. We loved sitting on the terrace for breakfast and evening drinks - the view is beautiful. Some of the facilities are a bit dated but it has a really cool retro vibe and it’s nothing that you can’t see in the photos. The pools were great and everything was super clean and well cared for. We had such a great stay and would recommend to anyone...
