This place is a disgrace! Avoid visiting it, if you can! The service is awful to say the least and I was unfortunate enough to experience this more than once - hence I can't consider this to be a "single bad moment"! Last time I went there, I was with a friend of mine for an early drink and, when we ordered some starters to go with our drinks, the waiter had the audacity to ask "Is that all you are having?". When I replied (obviously irritated) that I hadn't realized there was a minimum consumption required, the waiter, understanding his mistake, tried to rephrase, saying that what he actually meant was whether we would like to have anything else (certainly that wasn't had he had said!). The food itself was nothing to write home about: tasteless, very basic and, surely not Mexican or Latin American. The drinks were not bad but, definitely, nothing impressive.What WAS impressive, were the prices. They are way too high compared to the low level of service and the mediocre (at best) quality of the food. A word of advice to the owner and the employees: you should realize that your restaurant is no Buckingham Palace and stop treating customers as if you were doing them a favour to actually serve them any food. After a prolonged waiting period (of over a month), we finally made it to book a table on a Sunday noon for lunch. Right after entering the restaurant, a guy greeted us and told us to wait the girl who was responsible for the bookings. She never showed up. Another man took us to a small table that would barely fit even a plate. Suddenly, when they realized (!) we had a lunch reservation, they started treating us very differently, taking extra care of us. We ordered chili con carne and empanadas de seco limeño, both of which were super delicious. I wouldn’t recommend the paella de mariscos, though, as it was worse than mediocre. When we asked for the bill, they treated us some ultra mouthwatering creamy chocolate praline that, unfortunately, we couldn’t eat entirely as we were already full (what a shame!). I put 2 for the decoration and the service. I tried the food with my boyfriend and we were both disappointed of the quantity. I picked a dish of grilled beef based with corn, crispy potatoes and some sauce for 28€. I was expecting a generous quantity. I literally had one steak of beef, 3 small pieces of corn (over all it was like half of it) , a very small potato and some sauce on the side that didn’t really taste good. I thought there would be some other vegetables coz that’s what I thought I saw in the menu.. my bf’s dish was also a joke. He had pork with I don’t even know what (some sort of salad. His dish was half empty. Even the piece of pork was too small! We only liked the salad we had as a starter. For the desert we had a brownie cake, it was nice but again the piece of the case was like 3 spoons and I think this was for like 8 or 9€. We paid over all 92€ and ended up going to a taverna for a real full meal 10 times less expensive. I know I can’t compare a fancy restaurant to a local one but I’m not dumb either! I’ve been to fancy restaurants where the quantity of food is really generous and delicious ! Stop fooling people! And stop being greedy ! CHE was a mistake, a big scam!...
