Kamares Sanctuaries — Hotel in Municipality of Platanias

The design of the place is beautifully done. From the garden outside, which is equipped with tables, bean bags, sunbeds, a jacuzzi, and a bar area (with snacks and drinks), to the rooms inside - you could tell everything was done with an eye to detail. The rooms were clean - we were also provided with beach towels as well as robes and slippers which is a really nice gesture for people travelling with only a carry-on luggage ;) The bathroom was also stocked with essential toilteries such as hand soap, shampoo, and shower gel.

Emilio is an amazing host. All his recommendations were amazing and made our stay in Crete even better and easier to plan. We definitely do not regret following his advice. He also made the effort to help us book a boat for us to drive to visit Balos and Gramvousa which we really appreciated.

About the location - it was easy to get to all the beaches in the West of Crete. We also visited Chania, however, when we went there the parking situation was quite frustrating. So we were extremely happy with the location of Kamares Sanctuaries as well!

You definitely get a value for money with this one. The rooms are very clean, spacy and decorated with a nice taste. The location is close to very good beaches and restaurants so it is a very nice starting point to explore new places on the island every day.

The best part this place though is Emilio. Incredibly welcoming host, having put lots of love to create the place and to make sure the guests are taking well care of.

From the day one and until the last day of the stay I just told him what interests me and he gave me recommendations of what beaches to visit, in which restaurants to eat the best food and where I can find hidden gems of the island.

If you are considering booking here, I would recommend it 100% and definitely talk with Emilio, cause his tips about the island are gonna save you so much time and planning and you will be able to just relax and enjoy your vacation without having to worry about organising what to visit and...

A charming place!

Located in a peaceful village, halfway between Kissamos and the center of Chania, this spot is a true corner of paradise. The rooms are spotless, meticulously maintained, and the outdoor jacuzzi lighting up the garden creates a relaxing and magical atmosphere — perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
