Sooooooo glad we went there on our last day in lovely Kolymvari!

It was at shy 12 o'clock and they were not even open yet, but my wife knocked the door and they welcomed us heartwarming!

The owner who served us himself is an incredibly nice and friendly guy. Very good for a laugh, anytime he walk by. At the back, you might meet the wife, who prepares your food. Super nice and lovely with kids.

Their garden terrace is lovely arranged, kids playground too, quiet, cosy.

Tamarosalata was the best we had! Most intense taste and pinky colour. The perfectly roasted bread came with a garlicky, tomato sauce soaked in olive oil. Perfect company. The fish soup of my wife looked a bit adventurous at the begin, but the first bite proved that this makes sense: smooooooth texture, very nice flavours, fishy, good! Perfectly roasted sardines were the recommendation of the day and an absolute winner! Kids inhaled them! Top ranked sardine dish in Kolymvari! Try to get them! Pastitsio were also recommended by the owner. We couldn't figure out what it was, but ordered it anyway. Surprise! What a dish. A bread-crumb crumbly, bit cheesy top layer hides a broth-like mix of tender minced meat, macaroni and an amazing tasty soup. Imagine a spaghetti-long thin macaroni, so overcooked, that it melts in your mouth. A thin, but yet creamy sauce. Some tender meat crumbles stuck to it. And some crunchy top layer. Does that need further words???

If you don't leave your 5star tourist trap to eat at Lefka - you will regret...

Excellent, authentic Greek food, and very friendly service! Highly recommended! I have been many times to this traditional taverna with my family and our Greek relatives. My wife has come since 35 years. Today we took the bus from Chania for a swim and then evening meal at Lefka. Sample as many of the dishes as you manage. The beef Stifado was again a dream, the stuffed zucchini flowers with rice and dill and some yoghurt very tasty. A delightful evening under the grapevine, like in the old days. The local white wine very fresh and pleasant. We are looking forward to...

Do not recommend this restaurant. At first it seemed like a nice restaurant, but later we were disappointed. Our waiter was a man with a mustache. Service bad, food salty. One wineglass was dirty Bread and water are brought to the table without ordering, for which money is asked later. The waiter shuffles the dishes and shakes them. I wanted to see the receipt before paying the bill. The man with the mustache got angry at this and showed it angrily at the end. And much more, much...
