KTM SUNNY VILLAS — Hotel in Municipality of Poros

I am not sure how to review this one. I chose it because of the location ( and it was on point), the pool ( which was very nice) and the great reviews. And honestly, I was a bit surprised why the hotel god such great reviews. ||I was really disappointed with the studio. First of all, it was a high level studio with great view, but the view was partially obstructed by two buildings, so when I was sitting on a balcony, I mostly saw the roofs. Other than that, the veiw was stunning, though. ||The balcony was big and had a comfy chairs, but since the water from the A/C was flowing directly onto the floor, a few times I almost slipped and fell.||||The room itself was dated. Some of the things theoretically worked, but you could see they are barely hanging on. Examples- the toilet seat probably remembers the 80's, the shower handle was covered in rust, A/C was ancient and was very loud, sometimes made buzing soungs and wasn't extremely effective. It made it impossible to use during the night, but sleeping with the windows open did not cool the room enough.||It seems like the only new items in the room were the fridge ( great, big one with freezer) and TV ( which I never use). The kitchenette was equipped enough for me.||||The bed was very uncomfortable - mattress was very bouncy and I could feel every seam on it, and the pillows were hard. ||||The management was polite.||||The pool was really nice, with ideal water temperature and clean, although you could see that some elements on the sundeck were also dated. The complex has a lot of plants in pots and tiny cute decorative details, and it was really nice to look at.||Altogether, it was quite ok but not as good as I have expected. But then, I do not have much comparison to other hotels in the area, perhaps it is quite standard and should not be compared to hotels in , for...

We had a long stay at KTM Sunny Villas and took an apartment on the thrid level of the hotel building. It had everything we wanted.||||Built into a hillside, there are steps from the road to all levels of the hotel. There is no lift, or ramp.||||The Room layout - good, spacious, with self-catering dining facilitries||||The pool - very clean (cleaned daily), well tended, with a top terrace 0.7m deep pool, and a lower terrace swimming pool with a deepend of 2.5m||||The owner and his wife are very pleasant, always in attendance, and always in the background||||The Chamber Maid service is excellent and the staff very friendly||||The views from the hotel are exceptional - out over the Askeli Bay and onto the smaller of the two islands that make up Poros.||||The location is fabulous because it's out of town (whish is about 15 minutes walk away); is 5 minutes from the nearesty beach, and located so that you can (and we did!) visit Tavernas in Askeli (10 minutes), Neorio Bay (10 minutes away), or in town (taking either the flat walk to the Naval Scool, marina and promenade, or the hilly walk to the otherside of the small island (this is a 25 minute walk, is uphill for about half of it but very worth while taking).||||We really enjoyed our time at KTM and think you might enjoy it too!||||Our thanks to the owners Giannis & Miranda...

Just home from a fantastic stay at KTM Villas in Poros, Greece. Nearest beach with 2 bars was 50m away & the lovely Apartment with amazing views was ideally located within walking distance to all areas of Poros, the harbour 15mins, Askeli beaches & bars 10mins & Russian Bay beaches & bars 10mins. The owners, Yannis & his wife Miranda were amazing hosts & couldn’t do enough for us, so friendly & welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money & I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this as a great base for exploring the gorgeous island of Poros. We hired a moped for 2 days from the hire shop across the road, £25 per day. As the island is a safe place to ride around with its 20mph-30mph speed limits. Both room & pool area were immaculate. Lots of steps so therefore may not suit anybody with mobility problems. My wife & I are well traveled & really enjoyed this holiday, something different to do everyday 👍. Thanks again to Yannis & Miranda for making our stay so special. Would definitely return again. ...
