We went here on the advice of a long-time patron, and we were very pleased. We had a large group (I think we had 16 people), so we made reservations. The tavern is up on the hill overlooking the bay, just a 5-10 minute walk from the water front (most of that walk is vertical!). Personally, I loved the walk as we got to see the local neighborhood that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. The view from the tavern at sunset is gorgeous. This is a family-run tavern and they have their own butchery on-site; they were happy to show us around. There are some neat local historical photographs and paintings on the walls. Just about everyone on staff speaks English. The overall mood is happy and festive.
I had Greek salad (of course!), Tzatziki, pasta, and wine. They served us a small drink (digestif) after the meal. It was similar to Raki, but sweeter. Everyone in our group was complimentary of the food and service. We had a great time and if we ever visit Poros again, we'll definitely go back here.

Read moreThey have quite an extensive menu. It’s hard to comment on prices since it really depends on what you order — pork and chicken dishes range between €12–20, while beef and veal go anywhere from €20–60. Portions are generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry (the menu also provides information about the weight of each dish). I’d recommend letting them decide on the cooking level of the meat if possible — they are excellent at it.
The only downside is the service, which can sometimes be a bit slow. Since it’s a steakhouse, our order took some time to arrive. However, I imagine this could be avoided with a more detailed reservation in advance. Another issue is that despite the large size of the restaurant, the staff seems a bit understaffed.
In my opinion, if you want to enjoy really good meat and you’re not an impatient, starving wolf, this place is absolutely worth trying.
