We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Our room was the first in the floor right next to the lobby. And there the problems begin: Technically we had „ocean view“ so ok The wooden doors have no sound isolation. As the breakfast began at around 8am, we had the feeling it was directly inside our room The best years of the interior are definitely gone and everything was worn The bathroom was ok, except for the shower. The shower curtain was approximately 30cm to short which means every time someone showered, the whole bath was flooded. The doors of the hotel are 24/7 open! So anybody can feel free to get inside the whole building. If we would‘ve checked in after the opening hours, the key must have been left at the lobby, reachable for everybody. The breakfast was ok. Nothing special but the basics
Positive to mention is the distance to the ocean, restaurants and activities such as Jetski or Parasailing.
For me personally the time here was not very nice and not...
Read moreWe spent three weeks at Melitti Hotel and for us, it was the perfect base for various activities in the region of the beautiful city of Rethymno.
The apartment was simply and yet expediently furnished with a functional kitchen and bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was also simple but sufficient, we only made advantage of it once but the price of 8€ pP was fair.
The room service did a great job to keep everything clean. Staying at the pool area was nice especially in the afternoon when there was shade.
Parking might not always be easy. The hotel has only 6 spaces (charged 10€ per day) and it takes some time to find a spot at the beach.
Concerning noise, it is advantageous that the hotel is not located directly at the beach where there is quite a lot of traffic. But you might hear other guests from their balconies or the moving of their furniture in other apartments from time to time.
Thanks to the nice staff for making our stay such a...
Read moreWe wanted a small and quiet hotel without any kid clubs. Nothing more, nothing less. This small and family owned hotel didn't leave us disappointed. The staff and management were all very nice. If you look close enough you can see that this hotel isn't new anymore but that can also be seen in the price tag. We're not the "All inclusive" type of travellers, so this simple and well maintained hotel was close enough perfect for us. If you want to put your laptop in the safety box it's simply not possible because it is too small. Although, I'd say that it is very unlikely to get it stolen in this small hotel. The maintenance staff was the same during our stay. The worst thing we have to say about the Melitti Hotel is that it is situated rather far from the city centre, but we knew that when we booked it. It's good for your body to have an extended walk...
