To be clear: Don‘t go swimming if life guards do not allow it.

Would be a nice beach if you were allowed to swim. In 5 out of 10 days you are not though. Even with barely any waves or currents, life guards keep shouting and whistling at people that try to go into the water. No, you can‘t go into knee-depth water. As soon as you come close.. whistling. In addition, chilling there is basically impossible due to constant noise by life-guards whistling at people.

There is a system there that must be a sewage system because it stinks the whole area out of sewage. Its hard to stand. Last night we went for a late night walk and that thing was doing the works. We went for a swim the next morning and quickly noticed rubbish washing up to shore. We went out to see brown streams In the water. We quickly went back to the appartment to have a shower.
When there is no sewage the water is beautifully clear and warm. Pleasant to swim in.

La plage est composée de gros graviers et de fin graviers, le sable fin est rare. A l'hôtel notre hôtesse nous informe que l'on pouvait se promener par la plage et accèder jusqu'à la ville de réthymno, il n'y a que 7km environs depuis notre hôtel. Et nous voilà équipés de notre sac à dos, chaussures pour l'eau et une autre paire pour la visite de la ville. Après l'expérience vécu je ne le conseille pas ! La marche au bord de l'eau dans les graviers c'est éprouvant, de plus vous êtes vite dans la profondeur de la mer, les graviers rentrent dans les chaussures et vous abîmes les pieds. La chaleur vous accompagne tout au long de la ballade. Heureusement, qu'il y a la mer et les petits vagues pour vous rafraîchir. Ce que nous avons apprécié, c'est que celle-ci n'est pas froide il y a des courants chauds, vous n'avez pas froid c'est très agréable. A conseiller ! Certains hôtels nettoyent leur plage, ceux qui sont dans les 5 et 6 *. Parfois on se serait cru en Sardaigne, il y avait les mêmes algues sechées sur le...
