This is a two star hotel. It has only 10 rooms (apartments and studios) and no swimming pool. That’s where the two stars end and here is where the four stars begin. ||We booked the apartment with see view. Our apartment consisted of two spacious rooms. The bedroom had a four poster bed, a wardrobe, a standing mirror, a Safe, a phone, air conditioner, flat screen TV. The living room had a kitchenette (fridge, coffee machine, electric kettle, cutlery, utensils, dishes etc), a wardrobe, air conditioner, flat screen TV. The bathroom was not as spacious but it was nicely done and had a phone, hair dryer and a small wall cabinet where we kept our toiletries. The wardrobes had more than enough hangers for clothes.||This family-run hotel was opened last year so everything is practically new. It has an elevator inside and another elevator outside to assist the physically challenged. The rooms are cleaned everyday with bedsheets and towels changed just as often. The air conditioner, safe and internet are FREE! This I found amazing since some four star hotels charge for them. ||The apartment can be booked with breakfast but we only booked board because we weren’t sure how late the breakfast was as we normally wake up late. But the hotel has a restaurant that caters to guests and non-residents of the hotel and it serves excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. Initially we were skeptical about the noise from the street as the hotel is very close to it but that wasn’t a problem as the windows are well fortified. The sea is just across the road from the hotel so not having a swimming pool is actually not a minus. You can rent two beach sun beds for 5 euros a day just across from the hotel.||The owner/manager Esther was always on hand. Wishes and minor complaints we had were dealt with promptly and efficiently. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to...
Read more😊: My apartment was completely new, everything was working perfectly, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The bathroom was especially impressive — with a high-quality, multi-head shower that targeted different zones of the body.
Just in front of the hotel, there's a restaurant that also belongs to the property, and the beach is right across the road. The sunbeds are practically free — all you need is to order any drink for €3.5 or more, and the sunbed is yours for the whole day.
Besides the obvious advantages of the location and facilities, the main reason I would return is the management. The owners — Esther, her husband, and their son — are truly exceptional people. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. When I missed my ferry and lost my first night, they allowed me to stay longer and even offered a separate space to store my luggage and take a shower after check-out, so I could enjoy a few more hours by the sea. That level of hospitality is rare.
In short, all the positive reviews I read before booking turned out to be absolutely true. I highly recommend this place.. 😢: The only negative aspect of this place is that it creates a strong desire to come back the moment you leave. I had barely checked out and was already thinking about how to return before the end of the summer.

Read moreThe apartment was great. We were impressed with the cleanliness, high quality fittings, free wifi, safe and AC. Great attention to detail and friendly, helpful staff. Esther was particularly good prior to our visit and helped us to book taxis from and to the airport. In just over an hour we arrived at Princess Irini and received a lovely welcome. The restaurant was excellent, we sampled a breakfast, lunch and evening meals and all were high quality. The hospitality of staff was exceptional and a great welcome is extended to everyone. There are so many good restaurants around that you are spoiled for choice. We didn't miss a swimming pool as the beach was so close that we made full use of the various beach sun beds along the sea front as it was a very hot week. Lovely warm sea for swimming. Definitely not a 2 star more like 4 star. Near to the Rethymno hop on hop off bus tour bus stop. Go and see...
