We had the absolute pleasure of visiting "Yalla!" in Rethymno, and I can't express enough how amazing our experience was:
Run by Thanos and his Brother, this place embodies Greek hospitality at its finest. Diesel, the "Beach Manager," added to the warm welcome we received.
We were overwhelmed by their hospitality and instantly felt like we were at home away from home. After traveling in Greece for two weeks, this was easily one of the best experiences we had throughout our entire trip.
During our four days in Rethymno, we found ourselves at Yalla! every day, whether it was for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or indulging in their delicious homemade desserts.
The food was an absolute highlight; we savored everything from their pasta, risotto, gyros to their homemade desserts like tiramisu, flan, ice cream, and crepes. Not only were the portions generous, but the prices were more than fair.
And speaking of crepes, Yalla! not only boasts the best crepes in town but hands down the best crepes and ice cream on the entire island of Crete.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of Raki, the brothers served us the smoothest Raki we've tasted during our time in Greece.
What's more, they offer free sunbeds for patrons, making your time on the beach even more enjoyable.
Thanos has a knack for making you full and, if you'd like, a little "happy" in the snap of his fingers (pun intended).
I can't recommend this gem enough to all our friends and family. If you find yourself in or near Rethymno, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to this lovely family-owned establishment. It's definitely worth the trip!
Thank you guys so much for your...
Read moreWe discovered Yalla Restaurant during our 10-day holiday in Crete, and it was without a doubt the best choice in the area. Service is top-notch, the beach is free (you only pay for what you order), and parking is also complimentary.
The restaurant offers the most diverse menu within a 20 km radius. We tried different places nearby, and most had almost identical menus, but Yalla truly stands out for its variety, taste, and quality of dishes.
Service is impeccable – polite, friendly, and very attentive to every detail. The ladies serving are always smiling, making you feel genuinely welcome. The complimentary dessert is a lovely touch that makes you feel appreciated as a customer.
The food is delicious, portions are generous, and preparation time is short. Even though we are just tourists, we ended up coming here every single day after trying several other restaurants – Yalla quickly became our favorite.
Congratulations to the two young owners who have been running the business for only three years, yet managed to surpass everything else in the area. We wish them great success and highly recommend this place to anyone...
