First and foremost, the guy at the reception desk and bar was consistently moody and uncooperative. When I asked about getting air conditioning for just one night because it was uncomfortably hot for my child, he insisted that we had to pay for a full week. Despite my reference to their website and it literally saying on reception "8 Euros per NIGHT" which clearly stated that single-night usage was possible, he couldn't be bothered to accommodate our request and said it was too much effort to use for one night, even though he just gives you a remote to TURN IT ON ANYWAY! It was a money grab.
But that wasn't the only issue we encountered. The shower in our room barely worked; it spat tiny, inconsistent streams of water. We brought this issue to the attention of the receptionist, but he simply shrugged it off and did nothing to address the problem.
The following day, a cleaner came to our room and began aggressively banging on our door, demanding to know the whereabouts of a big towel. After she eventually located it on a chair under the table, she tersely exclaimed, "OH," and departed, slamming the door behind her.
We had opted for a self-catering option, but the receptionist didn't seem to understand or respect this choice. He gave us disapproving looks when he saw us bringing snacks into our room and even inquired about our food and drinks, which was completely irrelevant given our self-catering status.
Throughout our stay, the receptionist made unwelcome comments, and we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable in what should have been a relaxing vacation environment. On one occasion, when we ordered tea, we were served a frozen burger with the patty, bun, and cheese haphazardly thrown onto a plate as if we were prisoners. To make matters worse, it wasn't even cooked properly.
To add insult to injury, when we finally gave in and paid for a full week of air conditioning, the receptionist simply handed us a remote control, revealing that he could have easily provided it for just one night.
In addition to all these issues, on the fifth day of our stay, we witnessed staff making my son a cocktail that contained no alcohol, only juice. This discovery explained why we felt no effect from our previous cocktails, as they had been consistently diluted.
In summary, Elarin was, without a doubt, the worst place I've ever had the misfortune of staying. I find it perplexing that the positive reviews exist and suspect that they might be fake. The staff seemed more interested in watching TV and complaining about guests than ensuring a pleasant stay. I strongly urge anyone considering Elarin as a vacation destination to think twice and look elsewhere for accommodations. There is SO many...
Read moreMy recent stay at Elarin studio and apartment place was a deeply frustrating experience for a 50-year-old woman with troublesome knees. Despite my hopes for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation, the reality was quite the opposite.
Upon arrival, I requested a ground-floor room due to my knee issues, but the receptionist bluntly informed me that there were none available. This left me navigating stairs throughout my stay, aggravating my condition.
The shower in my room barely worked, dribbling a feeble stream of water. Despite my complaints, nothing was done to fix it. The cleaning staff displayed a lack of attention to detail, often leaving my room untidy.
As a self-catering guest, I expected freedom in my dining choices. However, the receptionist incessantly scrutinized my meals, casting judgment on my selections. His unwarranted attention made me feel unwelcome.
Throughout my stay, the receptionist made snide remarks, leaving me feeling increasingly frustrated. One instance involved a cup of tea served in a dirty mug, tossed onto the table carelessly.
The women working there were great, the man which runs everything was an AWFUL human, he displayed indifference, discomfort, and a severe lack of hospitality. Despite any positive reviews, I advise against choosing Elarin for...
