I was staying at the Nikolas Beach Studios right next door but as the check-in was at the Elvita, I thought I'd write a review.
My holiday trip in July 2025 was a memorable one, to say the least. On the third day of my one week trip, my phone broke down and that left me somewhat stranded and feeling anxious for a few days until I got used to it.
It was quite lovely to not have the phone - I noticed how attached to it I had become. But it became a problem especially because my flight back home required a very early wake-up. It also produced quite a bit of anxiety and feelings of despair regarding things ahead of me back at home which were not nice to have on your holiday.
A huge thank you to the reception staff, Maria and Noemi, who were so helpful and accommodating - and who were always willing to talk if I needed someone to talk to. Sometimes I could just sit at the reception sofa and hang out. My holiday ended on a high note because on my birthday of July 12th, I took part in a 3 hour mini cruise which was recommended to me by Noemi. A super-relaxing and a fun little trip! And a very special thank you to Maria, whom I got to know a little bit as we talked about almost everything under the sun.
Meeting new people has always been a highlight for me during my trips to Greece. This trip, being my 12th to Greece, was no different. Thanks to the warmth and kind support of Maria and Noemi, I left Rhodes with a...
Read moreThis hotel is very good. It is incredibly clean and there is nothing that the staff does not seem to be able to accommodate for the (sometimes) very demanding guests. I like to mention Maria, Ragazza italiana but especially the fantastic Anthoula Markopoulou ❤️🌹 who took care of me and became a friend during the 14 days I stayed here.
I stayed in their older part Nicolas and the rooms there are GOOD. Very basic, everything is there for self-catering. Even a can and wine opener. There is no TV or phone, but who needs that on a holiday?
I had access to the pool, with pool bar (with nice guys and cute girls). There was entertainment there 2 times a week.
Lothiarika itself is not a mecca for entertainment, there is a real ATM (Alpha Bank, not the tourist-unfriendly Euronet), a few supermarkets and 4-5 restaurants.
Within walking distance you have the villages of Lardos and Pefkos where party animals can dance/drink until 05 in the morning. Also goes by bus (2 €) or taxi (about 10 €)
Now for the sad part; The beach below the hotel is not suitable for very small children or the disabled. Consists of pebbles and large sharp rocks in the sea, but if you can swim it's fine. Within walking distance is Plakia Beach with golden sand and several other beaches.
I recommend this hotel. Perfect for families with children, couples and seniors. I will definitely return when I get older/really old. Thanks for 2...
Read moreWe were in El vita hotel this year (july 2013) and I will definetely reccomend this hotel two everyone. We were there two couples (average age 28 years). We bought a holiday without a food but near to the hotel is a hotel snack bar where you can get lovely food. Also there is a lot of restaurant on the main street. Hotel and a bar staff were very nice, friendly, helpful with everything. Menu was pretty big, so it was very easy to choose some meal (adults and also for children). The hotel has also his own shop open till late night. The pool was always clean with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The only bad think for me was, that a beach was without a sand (water shoes will make it :-) ). And a one more great think for us was that a hotel makes every second night some party (dancing, karaoke) where you will definetely have some fun. But a party is not too noisy so its easy to sleep as well. ||||If you love a frappe, than definitely order one from Hanna. She makes the best one!!! ||||For El Vita staff: thanks again for everything and I hope, that you will do great. Take care guys and a have a...
