Katikies Studios & Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

The check-in was very easy as we arrived at night and there was a note left on reception with the name, room number and the key was in the door. This was the only good thing about this place.

Now, nobody on reception to ask anything, if you want to know something you need to call as there is no owner/manager on site.

The cleaning lady was very nice but, the the cleaning service was not what we expected. Now, me and my family usually just want a bed to sleep and a place to shower. All the towels that we received either smelled like cigarettes either smelled like they were old and moldy. The room and bathroom was full of ants, just like the outside of the room. The beds were made which was nice, but the floor wasn't swiped or washed ( I know this as my sons feet were always black even though we all washed outside on the tap when we came back from the beach). And on top of all that, our room was flooded every time we used the water in the bathroom. Even if we just brushed our teeth, the water was coming into the room and the bathroom was flooded and had to get out, not even trying to describe 3 people having a shower in there. Now, I feel sorry for the lady that was cleaning as I don't know if she has been told all this, but this is not a place to stay and enjoy your holiday.

On top of all this, the pictures that they used on the site that we booked are from the place next door. The pool, the bar area...not nice to do this.

We arrived at night with young kids worried about how the check in process would happen... We didn't need to worry, there was a note on the inside of main door telling us our room number and that the key was in the door.

Inside we found a nice self contained 1 bed apartment that easily sleeps 4, With a small kitchen area.

There are a few local supermarkets if you feel like picking up some breakfast bits and dont want to eat out every morning.

The beach really is as close as in the photos.

This place does not have a pool or restaurant/bar BUT right next door do have this, and they have no problem with you useing their pool, just buy a drink of two from them, and dont forget the sea is at the end of the garden.

There is a cleaner lady who comes round every morning and will clean the room unless you tell her to miss a day or two. Theres no extra charge for this.

There are a few restaurants and supermarkets very close by, all within walking distance.

There are a couple of Car Hire places close by also. We hired twice on our stay and i was amazed there were no hidden charges.

Theres also a couple of bus stops and we did see regular bus's, but i couldn't work out the timetable and didnt fancy waiting in the sun just because im thick. But we did see people turn up, wait and within 5 mins a bus would come. So im sure it was just me couldn't get my head around the timetable lol.

Unser Studio war sehr spartanisch eingerichtet. Es fehlt an Töpfen/ Pfannen, Geschirr und Gläser. Es gibt keine Rezeption oder Telefonnummer an der man solche Dinge beanstanden kann. Das dritte Bett im Studio war ein sehr hartes Sofa, das absolut schlecht zum schlafen geeignet ist. Im Bad konnte die Tür nicht geschlossen werden da das Schloss kaputt war und es gab keinen Duschvorhang, dadurch war das Bad nach dem Duschen komplett geflutet. Viele Ameisen mussten zum Beginn unseres Aufenthaltes erstmal entfernt werden.. Nett ist, das jeden Tag die Betten gemacht und die Handtücher ausgetauscht werden (die Laken waren 2 Wochen die selben) Der Zugang zum Meer ist gut, hauseigene Liegen müssen zusätzlich gezahlt werden.
