Evita Mare Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

We orginnally booked to stay at Evita Resort on arrivial we got told they have over booked us and that we will be sent to Evita Mare the sister hotel we were told that it's a nice hotel. This hotel limes to silence guess by making them a sign a declaration saying that we been moved amd we accepted it and we can't complain to the travel agency or the hotel. This hotel needs to be taken off of any travel agency website it's very misleading.||||This is very very far from the truth This hotel hygiene is beyond despicable, it's ant infested. We had ants crawling all over the food and especially on the beds you will have ants on you why you're sleeping. I complained about this to a memeber of staff as I've had to move rooms because of this issue I thought my room was the only one but it turned when I spoke to other guess about this issues they all had exactly the same issues this hotel is severely ant infested. I complained about this inhumane living situation to a member of staff because I asked to move rooms because of the ants I was told that they had a really bad summer this was a poor excuse the hotel has taken no steps at all to prevent this issue. The rooms are not really furnished well it's modern but it should least have a kettle they provide u with fridge not a kettle have to put down a deposit for it, bathroom is mouldy.||||The food was not even edible sometimes some things was rock solid or undercooked. The food was always stone cold, even if you got there when dinner was served. The food is cooked at the evita resort and then transported to evita mare. The food has fa's flies on it and ants crawling around it the food here is not covered or labelled which is the basic for a hotel and it lacks a lot of this. I got food poisoning twice there. I have witnessed numerous amounts of time the dinner ladies at dinner has blown their nose over the food and touched clean stuff (if u can call it that) as a result of this the poor hygiene I got ill🤮||||On the last day we were informed by a few guess that there was a fire at the hotel whilst we were there. To the point fire engines had to be called and the grass by the pool was on fire. The hotel ofc neglected to tell guest about this issues the hotel dpes not care about anyone safety. There is no entertainment at the hotel at the bar is managed every now and then no one there constantly the drinks are flat at the pump majority of the time.||||Needless to say because of all these issues that I had an issue I was looking forward to...

First impression was great. Lady on reception was very kind,smiling and helpful. We got a great room in 1st floor. Everything was cleaned up. Pool looked great and air conditioning worked fine. Then we went to lunch,there was almost nothing to choose from. We tried spaghetti and we almost ate spaghetti whole vacation (as most people there). Potatoes looked and tasted like 2 days old. Cucumber was also cut day before or just cut and put in fridge for hours. All other food didn't tasted good . It was worst all inclusive catering we had. We were always glad ,when we was on trip and eat somewhere else. But breakfast are only food that you can choose from. It is clearly that they have lack of employees. When you sit to table,there is possible you will not have cutlery and you must ask for it or take it yourself. The biggest disappointment was when we came from trip on dinner at 7:30PM and there was almost nothing. We just ate a little,wait half hour and still no one fill up the food even after noticing employee that there is nothing to eat. We had to go on dinner to restaurant. When we came back ,it looked the same as we left it. I quess some other quests complained as we did and it was better few days. But when they run out of sweets ,they just put watermelon instead of sweets. Best drink you can have is beer. It's best beer i had in all inclusive hotel. But other drinks are too sweet. You need to mix it with water. We got 2 days of uncleaned room. First day we thought : Ok they forgot,nothing to care about,they will clean it next day.....They don't and we needed to ask for it and had our room cleaned 3rd day but they didn't change the towels. But on the other hand ,ukrainian lady on bar was very kind and smiling. The hotel didn't ruin our holiday,but it was worst experience we had on Rhodos. Hotel would have 4* from us,if they care about food. But we are not only ones who think that the food is worst thing about hotel. Very...

So after arriving to the Evita resort, we were told they didn't have any rooms here and would be moved to a sister hotel (Evita mare). This seemed to be a regular occurrence, after speaking to many other people in the same situation. Since we had been travelling all day, we were too tired to argue the decision.

Our rooms at the next hotel were modern but basic, with missing shower screens and unfurnished rooms. There were ants everywhere, including the beds, and despite best efforts by housekeeping to remove them, they returned. Pest control is needed here!

The food was questionable; cold or room temperature, some of it inedible, and very repetitive, with no food labels, but if you like watermelon, chips and salads, you'll love it! Drinks were often flat and budget- version. Kitchen staff hygiene needs to be re- addressed, as coughing and blowing your nose over food is unacceptable!

The good points were that we were close to the beach/ harbour/ town, which made everything more accessible. The pools were quiet and not overcrowded, and we were able to get sunbeds. The manager/ receptionist Elle was very accommodating and friendly and made our experience more bearable.

Overall, I believe we were deceived of our experience here, and although we made the most of our holiday, we won't be returning to this hotel and would not recommend to...
