Casa del Sol Faliraki — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

We visited this restaurant yesterday. The place itself is beautiful, and we were welcomed by a friendly waitress who gave us a lovely table – but unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended. The food was very average, while the prices were definitely above average. We ordered carpaccio, which was covered with a heavy honey and mustard dressing – have you ever heard of such a thing? I honestly hope never to taste that combination again.

We asked the waitress not to rush and to bring the main courses after we had finished the starters. She did bring them later, but by then the dishes were completely cold.

When it came time to pay, I noticed apple juice on the bill, even though I hadn’t ordered it. When I asked about it, I was told it was actually the way they ring up water in the system. Do you really think guests are that naïve? The receipt clearly showed apple juice, not water, and I certainly didn’t drink it. For such a large restaurant that’s clearly been operating for a while, it’s hard to believe you can’t enter water properly into the register. Instead, you pass it off as juice – which feels absurd.

If you still decide to visit this place, make sure to double-check your bill so you don’t get overcharged, and order only starters at first. Once you’ve finished them, then order your main courses – that way, at least you might get to enjoy them while...

This has the potential to be a really nice bar because it’s well decorated and the prices are competitive and the selection is good. However, it’s absolutely filthy. The tables don’t appear to have been cleaned since it opened, there’s crusty ketchup on them that you can tell has been there a while along with general dirt and food crumbs. The floors don’t seem fit for all the poor stray cats to sit on and the toilets can’t be mentioned on a public forum. The reason I’ve given it any stars at all are for the prices and the staff being generally friendly. But if you have any personal hygiene at all, you won’t be able to sit at one of their tables and enjoy yourself. Nice resident cat though,...

Food is okay, had 2 burgers one was good and the other one was a little too dry, could have used more burgersauce.

The reason for only 3 stars is that the milkshake glasses and water glasses were very dirty and the staff did not seem too helpful, we asked for the bill, but eventually had to go to the register for it, the waiter started cleaning tables instead of finishing our request.

Location is very good, right on the beach with a nice view of the sea/island.
