Great atmosphere - poor service - food just ok tonight . Really wanted to love it - first night in Rhodes and special occasion. Seated immediately - took 15 minutes to flag down someone to take order. Ordered all things at including waters , drinks. Main entrees. Both drinks seemed watered down and could hardly taste alcohol at all. We liked our mussels, the Lionfish was tasty but super hard to eat pulling out the tines frequently, daughter had tuna which was in a Kebob format and just ok. We wanted to get more (different) cocktails and wine and another bottled of still water but nobody came around the entire time. Could not get anyone to table to order anything else entire length of our meal and beyond . We wanted to spend money but ……… . Also A family of 8 adults was sitting in back of restaurant eating/drinking and their little kiddos who were not eating/drinking in the restaurant kept running around the restaurant in circles playing and yelling. Fun for a Sunday night st home or at the park not in a nice restaurant. Staff don’t say anything . One boy was in his underwear running around the restaurant and not a soul did or said a thing. So unenjoyable. Had to press so find someone to ask for check and hit out quick to order more drinks down the street to relax where kids in underwear were not running around inside . Great location just no service and atmosphere was wild with kids...
Read moreI would not recommend visiting this restaurant again. We ordered the fish platter for two, and it was a major disappointment. Despite seeing a negative review about this dish from a year ago, it seems nothing has improved.
The fried calamari was extremely chewy, likely due to the large, two-finger-sized pieces they serve. A smaller cut would probably improve the texture. The squid was similarly tough, which was surprising given that I've enjoyed squid and calamari many times before.
The platter also included shrimp, which had an odd taste, possibly because the grill hadn't been properly cleaned. The soft-shell crab was another letdown—the breading was off, ruining the experience. The mussels were particularly disappointing, leaving me unable to even describe how bad they were.
The only saving grace was the seabream. The skin was crispy, and the fish was well-cooked and flavorful.
As for the fries, they were subpar—likely fried in cold oil, which is never advisable.
I paid 90 euros for this platter (not including the fries), and it was not worth the price at all. Other reviews suggest that the single-plate dishes are better, which aligns with my experience. I also ordered hot appetizer mussels separately, and they were quite good, but something went wrong when they were included in the fish...
Read moreTerrible experience!!!
We chose a fresh fish, but it came uncooked!!! They forced is to pay everything! Unbelievable!
The waiter struggled a lot to clean the bones and there were “red” spots in the middles. When we wanted to eat it, the meat was very very hard, raw and we could not eat it. TWe complained to the waiter that the fish was uncooked, but no one wanted to listen to us. They said that the meat was hard and there were red spots due to the fact that it was very fresh. This of course was not true ( we ate before fresh fish and my husband is also a fisherman). We asked the waiter to bring the check without the fish ( 90 euros only the fish), but staff refused, the manager become very nervous and started to shout, being very rude. We told them that we cannot pay something that is raw (like sushi ) and we have to call the police. Meanwhile, the manager called a bodyguard, someone very scary to threaten us. Therefore, considering that it was late, the kids were tired and hungry, the bodyguard stared at iis, we decided to pay the check and leave. They insisted to cook it again… even if the bones were taken out and it was broken in pieces. How to recook it again - to make grilled soup.! ?? Terrible...
