Lido Star Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

This is overall 1 star but a compromise in the end could argue for 2 stars even though the experience overall was 1 star.

Great atmosphere on a Friday and very cozy! We came in around 8pm. They had a fixed menu since it was Friday but from the start we asked if we could order from the normal menu since we wanted some specific things - This was okay. We ordered drinks. We tried to order food later but they said "ten minutes" and we ordered more drinks. After 20 minutes where we had tried to order for 10 minutes we were told "only gyros from normal menu". I then asked for the cheque, they tried to get me to pay cash and they said "it's only 20 EUR" but I only had card. THEN they came with the card machine, tried not to show the number, walked away fast BUT then came with a receipt after I had asked.

The problem: They had charged 30 EUR, 10 EUR too much (50% in tips) WITHOUT ASKING.

I then confronted them and after 10 minutes I finally convinced them to give me 5 EUR back.... They had stolen 10 EUR but gave me 5 back (I wanted to tip them from the beginning but in principle they stole my money which is unacceptable!

This place became our favorite one during our stay. The staff is really kind, they are talkative (in case if you are an introvert - not too much). First of all: we drank our BEST mojito here. For real. We tried many cocktails in numerous countries but this was the absolute best. I told to the waiter and he said it was his idea to use Gin instead of Rum. Really amazing idea! Give that man a rais! :D (also thanks for teaching me how to say "souvlaki" properly :D ) The food was also decent but the best thing was the Greek Night. I know some of you might avoid of it, but it's just like a normal night with singers and dancers and authentic greek vibe. We absolutely loved Lido Star Restaurant in Faliraki! During our 4-day stay, we ate here 3 times because it was just that good. The food is amazing, everything is homemade, and the portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is incredibly friendly and personal – they even surprised us with complimentary treats every night!

Highly recommend trying the Meze plate (perfect for two), the feta cheese with sesame and honey, and the zucchini balls – all absolutely delicious. The cocktails are also fantastic, and the service is super fast.
