Taverna Cavos — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

We came here on a week long holiday. It was actually to celebrate my wife's sisters 40th wedding anniversary. And the renewal of their wedding vows at the little Chapel on the harbour. They booked the celebration meal at Taverna Cavos(Kabos). It is a traditional Greek Tavern. The food was authentic and absolutely delicious. As you can see we had a varied selection. Pitta bread, humus, tatziki, Greek salad, chicken soulvaki, squid, meatballs, rice and other things that I can't remember. The banoffee dessert was the best my wife had ever had, and she is a pudding freak and has eaten them everywhere. We washed it all down with Alpha beer and wine and lemonade for the children. I put one star because we have waited more than 1h30 and the food wasn't yet brought to us. Everyone that arrived after us have already eaten or was already eating. When asking a waitress if they forgot us, since we were waiting for more than one hour she told us that she doesn't think that's true. We would have waited more, but we were really hungry and quite angry with their attitude, especially since another man working there was explaining to me that a fish takes time to be grilled (1h30, really?). We finally decided to just pay the beer and leave and at that moment they were rushing with the food. We left anyway since we were quite pissed and not hungry anymore. Anyway, bad attitude and unfriendly, they should know better since their business is based...

Με μια φράση .... ΜΗΝ ΠΛΗΣΙΆΖΕΤΕ! Επισκεφτήκαμε το κατάστημα μετά από τις κριτικές που διαβάσαμε. Μέγα λάθος!! Ας ξεκινήσω με το φαγητό, παραγγείλαμε ορεκτικά, κολοκυθοκεφτέδες, σαλάτα, παντζάρια, πατάτες. Οι μερίδες πολύ μικρές, δεν έφταναν ούτε γειά αστείο, ένας από την παρέα δεν έπρεπε να φάει. Οι κολοκυθοκεφτέδες ήταν πολύ σκληροί σε σημείο να μην μπορείς να τους κόψεις. Τα παντζάρια ήταν 5 κομμάτια μόνο ενώ οι πατάτες αντί για ορεκτικό ήρθαν στο τέλος σαν επιδόρπιο και ήταν άψητες. Απλά δεν τις ακουμπήσαμε. ΚΑΙ ΤΟ ΥΠΈΡΟΧΟ... Γίναμε μάρτυρες καυγά της ιδιοκτήτριας με άλλον πελάτη. Ο άλλος πελάτη αντιμετώπιζε τα ίδια προβλήματα με εμάς στο φαγητό του. Κάλεσε την ιδιοκτήτρια-μαγείρισσα για να της εξήγηση για αρχή ότι κάτι δεν πάει καλά. Στην συνέχεια αφού αντιμετώπισαν ξανά πρόβλημα, η ιδιοκτήτρια ήρθε από την κουζίνα φωνάζοντας σε σημείο υστερίας "ποιο δεν είναι καλό, ποιο είναι το πρόβλημα". Ο κύριος στο δίπλα τραπέζι της εξήγησε το πρόβλημα και η κυρία αντί να χρησιμοποιήσει customer service φώναζε από μακριά ότι όλα είναι τέλεια, φταίνε οι πελάτες που δεν τους άρεσε, ότι μαγειρεύει 16 χρόνια και ότι ξέρει καλύτερα από όλους μας και στο τέλος έβρισε τον πελάτη λέγοντας του "ΑΕΙ ΓΑ*'" αφού τον χρέωσε κανονικά .
