Absolutely wonderful place to stay. We had our wedding here and booked the whole place exclusively for our family for a week and had the wedding week of our lives. The hosts Tasos and George are the most wonderful men who become lifelong friends and treat you like family. Our wedding night was spectacular, when I dreamt of a perfect dreamworld venue for a wedding reception, this became a reality. We got married locally at kalithea springs and then came back for the most amazing fairylight lit bbq party next to the pool - it was everything we could ever have dreamed of and more and was such an economical option too. There was little need for decor so we just put flowers from local florist on the tables, lit some lanterns and layered loads of fairy lights as the place was screaming out for them…Tasos and George know this now as they are still up :) The wedding bbq was the best bbq we’ve ever had with lots of vegetarian options as we requested - the whole family made huge dishes of the most delicious food for us…I crave this food still! Thankyou so much to everyone involved there! We had so much left over that the family put on a second party for us the night following our wedding which was just wonderful. Highlights of that night was George playing Last Christmas (in October) and having a laugh with Karaoke. The vibe was just perfect for the wedding we wanted…laid back, casual, fun, quirky, boho with an authentic Greek touch. George even went out and got us some fireworks and put on a display for our first dance! The details around this place in terms of the decor is right up my street it really is unique and I know we will never visit anywhere like it. I miss this place. The rooms whilst basic also share the quirky feel. Food and drinks at the pool bar were really cheap too…so much so that our kids ran up a bar tab each night as they thought it was all inclusive (lol) but that wasn’t a problem as it wasnt dear. In terms of faults to try make this an open and honest review…I think some family said their toilet seats were broken so this should be easily fixed and it wasn’t wheelchair accessible, however even at that, the family bent over backwards to accommodate my mother in law in a family hotel down the road which was more suited to her requirements. The mosquitos were also pretty bad for some people.
This is far from an all inclusive resort as it has so much more warmth and feels so much more personal, an experience you can’t really explain in words but when you go, you will know...
Read moreWonderful place to stay in Faliraki. Thassos and his brother are the nicest hosts. The apartments are tidy, and there was enough space for everyone (group of 5 people), and the beds were also comfy. The towels get cleaned every second day. Some might say, that the kitchen is not equipped enough or that it’s small, but I think it was bigger than in the other hotels I checked. We managed to make breakfast for ourselves anyways:)
We also loved the pool and the bar, which gave a really nice atmosphere. It was nice to have a bath in sweet water after being in the sea in the daytime.
The Gorgona studios is far enough from the noises of the city center, but the center is still within a 5 minutes reach, restaurants, pubs, ice cream parlors and what not. The sea is close too, about 10...
Read moreThe quality is much lower than what is shown in the pictures. The only nice thing is the kittens that live there. They charge you for air conditioning per day, the rooms have super thin walls and you can hear ALL kinds of noise from the other rooms. The kitchen is mega small and there were no utilities for cooking, you can't really count on that for cooking if that was your plan and neither for refrigerating food as the fridge turns off and on to keep the temperature down. It's fine if your plan is to go to the beach and just come back to sleep and pay for the air. There is a bad smell and many insect, the facilities are of very poor quality. A...
