First some reference to set the scene. Travelled as a family of 4 with two teenage girls for a week 19th to 26th April. The hotel only opened two days before..so took this into account. We are regular travellers, especially love the Atlantica brand, having stayed in 9 of their hotels across Greek islands and Cyprus.||Our favourite is Atlantica Aphrodite Hill which is a Sensatori Resort so much of this review is taken with that as a benchmark.||Location: |On their own sea front location, direct beach access..not private beach, and nestled against hills, makes this a unique location. In April the weather was mixed with hot sun, but cool evenings and days of rain and thunderstorms. ||The resort of Kolymbia is very spread out with a good 20 min walk to the centre. Be warned, whilst there are shops, restaurants etc, this is a very small resort with a village feel, dominated by several hotels, including 4 Atlantica sister hotels. There are shops and places to eat out within 5-10 min walk.||Room: |Very comfortable, modern, had all the bits and bobs you would expect. All rooms I could see had pool or sea views. Bungalows are nothing of the sort, but collections of 8 rooms in 2 floor blocks set around the pools. This hotel appears to be focussed on European guests, especially Nordic or German making up 90% of guests when we were there. Even TUI reps were from these countries. English was widely spoken. British TUI guests were only offered one room type when we booked so I canât comment on other rooms other than the Bungalow Family room. What I would say is the swim up pools looked superb and well worth it peak summer. ||Site:|Mainly set around the pools, the gardens are well manicured, paths clean and well lit, with good disabled access via ramps. Main hotel / reception is a floor or so above the rest of the hotel which is mainly flat and gently slopes towards the sea. Main pool is huge, lovely clean and one of the nicest I have seen. Very cold though! Next to it is the kids splash zone, a thankfully heated square activity pool and the hotel kids club. Main bar and restaurant plus entertainment area. More on that laterâŚlarge grass area sits between the hotel buildings and the sea. Note..the premium rooms, bubbles pool and one restaurant are actually over a quiet road on a site shared with the sister Aegean Blue hotel and the shared water park.||Service:|Staff are generally friendly, attentive and have good English. Special shout out to Aramel in the pool bar and Katerina in reception. More staff will be needed peak times as only one behind the lounge bar at times but training was going on so hopefully this will be addressed. Cleaners are friendly, efficient and trustworthy having left iPad and phone out by accident one day! ||Some improvements.. tea and coffee items were not replaced all week so only coffee in room for 2 days before ran out of creamer. Toilet roll was not replaced when finished, perhaps as two are available. The toiletries are in pump refill bottles which had not been released and it took some time and force to release them to pump. Reception and bar staff get easily distracted while dealing with you, meaning several times I stood at reception not knowing if the staff member had finished with me as they talked to a colleague in Greek apparently mid service on unrelated issues.||Food:|There is a main buffet restaurant, a Greek taverna and a med style grill restaurant. Plus a snack bar, waffle wagon and beach front wagon. In general the quality of the food was good and certain things done well. However there are loads of improvements in this area as follows:||We found food rarely hot and lukewarm at best. We struggled to see the differences between the theme nights. All nights had salad bar, rice dish, pasta dish, meat or fish grilled etc. however the themes just seemed to be a change to the flavour on offer. I.e. Asian night they changed rice to veg and egg fried, but no prawn crackers, spring rolls, crisp wantons or other starters to be seen for example. For fussy kids beware..no pizza all week, no plain chicken, no chicken nuggets on kids counter other than one day. Restaurants had very limited choice, lack of kids menus etc. worst of all was food labels..especially in the dessert section, where they repeated the same dessert several times across the display but only labelled one..and even then labels were not directly next to, but near to. Allergy sufferers be aware. ||The bubbles pool, rooms and restaurant were NOT open when we were there so worth checking.||The main buffet restaurant has NO indoor seatingâŚmainly outside under a covering or open air. I can imagine with no air con eating would be uncomfortable in peak summer heat. The other negative is the restaurant tables double up as seating for entertainment stage so you can be trying to have a quiet meal whilst the animation team belt out the quiz, music or other.||The pool bar triples up as pool, restaurant and evening bar.||The lounge is small with just a dozen or so sofas and tables inside, with a few more outside on the balcony. The coffee shop doubles as the bar in the evening. Located just above the restaurant, pool bar and entertainment stage, it was quite possible to hear two or three different sound tracks at the same time. A quiet evening drink is out of the question most of the time.||At times of rain, the restaurant loses about a third of their seating and they cram entertainment and as many chairs into the lounge as they can. No other room is available. The hotel is a Lot smaller than the pictures suggest..hence the limited range of room, locations for sitting etc. The grass area towards the sea is crying out for developing either a separate entertainment area away from the restaurant, or a quiet pool / bar / restaurant. ||Plus sides, the tennis court and sports pitches looked good condition and flood lit. The kids disco was done on the football pitch. The sun loungers had deep padded cushions that all other Atlantica hotels should follow! Perhaps due to clientele or part occupancy but not a single sun bed was ever reservedâŚa first for us and very welcome! ||In summary, a lovely hotel with a lot going for it, but lots of room for improvement. Other Atlantica hotels appear bigger and better, including the Aegean Blue next door! However this hotel comes across as a good 3 star or low 4 star only and being smaller than expected does suffer from lack of space / choice at times. However if your experience is a 4 star in Spain, you should see the Atlantica quality...
Read moreMyself, my husband and our 2 daughters aged 15 & 11 came to this hotel May 2025, Tui Blue Atlantica Aegean Park. There are 2 hotels next to each other which share the water park. The hotel next door I believe was called Atlantica blue, this one isnât a Tui Blue hotel which may help people work out which hotel they are looking at online. ||All the staff at our hotel were amazing, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We arrived at the hotel just after midnight so we were all very tired. We were greeted by the reception staff with a big smile and told not to worry about the tourist tax until the morning. The bar in the lobby had sandwiches, crisps and drinks so we could take some food to our room to eat. The buggy took us and our luggage to our room. It was my husbandâs birthday during our holiday and when we arrived in the room there was a bottle of bubbly and a note to say happy birthday which was a lovely touch.||We arrived the Tuesday of May half term so we were expecting the hotel to be busy. It wasnât at all. There were plenty of sun beds available all day every day. The pool was quiet so plenty of space to play. No queues at the snack bar, pool bar or restaurant. On the weekend a lot more people arrived and it got very very busy. Sunbeds were being reserved, lots of queues at the snack bar and pool bar and busier swimming pool. It was still enjoyable but we were surprised at the difference and how busy the hotel was once it was term time again.||The water park was across the road and you could visit as many times as you wanted. It had a 6 big slides, a climbing frame with small slides for around age 3-9 and a splash park with baby slides. It also had a lazy river. Food and drink are not included here which isnât a problem at we were only there a few hours at a time and we were too busy on the slides!||Inside the hotel there was a small pool. Outdoors the hotel had a large pool, it wasnât heated and you could take inflatables and toys in there. There was an activity pool which was slightly warmer and this is where they did aqua aerobics, party dances and water polo. There was a shallow pool with a pirate ship on it with a small slide perfect for around ages 2-6. There was a small 1ft deep pool perfect for toddlers which the entertainment staff filled with bucket, jugs and other toys for the little ones to play. There was also an undercover outdoor area where we saw toddlers playing with the entertainment staff and their parents. Every morning the entertainment staff did a football target game around the pool. A few mornings they did aqua aerobics in the activity pool followed by kids party dances in the pool. One afternoon they played family water polo and another after they played adults only water polo. The evening entertainment for the younger children was separate in the football courts so we didnât see that. The older entertainment was an interactive quiz you did on a phone app, this took place every evening at 8:15. Some nights they had entertainment on after the quiz, a Greek dancing show one night which was great and the entertainment staff did a dancing and singing show one night. The hotel has 2 play parks onsite, one next to the pool bar and snack bar and one down near the beach and crazy golf.||On site they had tennis courts, darts and crazy golf which were all free. You go to reception to book crazy golf and you also collected the golf clubs and balls from there. The darts and tennis rackets also were collected from reception and you could go anytime to get those. Next to the pool bar was a pool table and air hockey table. The pool table cost âŹ2 a game and the air hockey âŹ1 a game.||Food was themed differently every time and had plenty of options. Our eldest daughter has celiac disease so eats a gluten free diet and this was hit and miss. On arrival we were asked to fill out an allergy form and told by the reception staff that we should ask for the chef if we needed any assistance. The buffet food was all labelled and my daughter likes meat and chips so most nights so would find plain chicken, pork or beef with fries for her tea. On Italian night there was nothing on the buffet so we asked the chef and he made her a GF pizza with whichever toppings she would like. On Asian night again there was nothing on the buffet for her so we spoke with chef and he grilled her some pork steaks. There were no GF puddings on the buffet. She could have the ice cream but this was open to everyone who was scooping ice cream onto ice cream cones so a high risk of cross contamination. The snack bar around the pool didnât have any gluten free options which was fair enough as they weâre making wraps, gyros, burgers and toasties to order and there was usually only 1 member of staff in there. The al la carte restaurants labelled their menus so we could see which food was GF. We all loved our food we ate at the Taverna and Green and Grill restaurants. The staff were brilliant and it felt like a night out. The taverna have seats indoors and outdoors where as Green and Grille had only outdoor seating. It was a bit chilly so we nipped back to the room for a jacket.||Housekeeping were lovely. Our lady chatted with us every time we passed her. She popped in daily to make the beds and change the towels if needed. We also had a large bottle of water left every other day.||We did the Lindos and Rhodes day trip through Tui. We were collected around 8:30am from a bar just outside the hotel. Our guide Alexi was the best, he knew everything about the island and was so proud and passionate when he spoke about it. He took us through Lindos and up to the Acropolis then left us for 1hr 1/2 for some free time. We got on the bus and went to Rhodes old town. Again Alexi talked us through the gates and into the old town then left us for around 2 1/2hrs for free time. We found a restaurant for food and did some shopping then headed back. It was a fab day out and great way to see the main towns of the island.||Overall we had a...

Her engaging conversation and cheerful presence made us feel instantly at home and thoroughly cared for. The same level of attentiveness was shown by Christina, who served us later that afternoon with the same warmth and professionalism.||Theaâs Bar itself was outstanding. Cocktails were freshly prepared, garnishes were vibrant, and all herbs were grown locally on-site, a lovely touch that added to the overall quality.||Throughout the resort, the staff spoke excellent English, never pushed or pressured us, and always maintained a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Itâs fair to say that this was one of the cleanest hotels weâve ever stayed in.||The hospitality across all roles was truly exceptional, from the restaurant manager to the housekeeping staff. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we felt valued. Their courteous, helpful nature is a rare find in todayâs hospitality industry, and it left a lasting impression.||We stayed in Room 111, which was flawless.||Complimentary toiletries, including shampoo, body wash, and hand soap, were provided, all made from sustainable, eco-friendly products.||Atlantica Hotels clearly prioritise environmental responsibility, visible in their efforts to minimise single-use plastics and promote long-term sustainable practices.||The food offering was excellentâfresh, abundant, and thoughtfully curated. There was a dedicated childrenâs area with healthy options, while the main buffet featured fresh juices, a variety of high-protein breakfast choices (including bacon, eggs, omelettes, and real pork sausages), and a wonderful selection of high-quality bread. The Snack bar Gyros was a particular highlight, authentic, flavourful, and prepared with care.||The overall vibe of the resort was calming and restorative. Sunbeds were made from sturdy metal frames and fitted with sustainable, thick-padded covers that made them incredibly comfortableâperfect for afternoon siestas, often accompanied by the soft echo of gentle snores from relaxed guests nearby.||Children were kept thoroughly entertained with the on-site pirate ship, splash zones, and water park, offering plenty of opportunities for fun and engagement.||Evenings were a true highlight. Greek nights were accompanied by high-quality cuisine and outstanding entertainment. The wine selection was top-tier, and the entertainment programme was superbly executed. A particular standout was the Motown medley, performed by a talented trio of staff whose voices were nothing short of exceptional, they brought energy, soul, and emotion to the stage and were a joy to watch The resort offered a well-structured programme of daily events catering to all ages and interests.||Another special touch was the mobile chef cart located by the beach entranceâavailable to all-inclusive guests and offering complimentary drinks, snacks, and iced frappes. Combined with the stunning mountain backdrop and direct access to the clear, blue sea (a reminder to bring sand shoes for the stony beach), this made for a truly memorable experience.||Among all the wonderful dining options, the standout for us was the Green & Grill Restaurant. The food and service were exceptional, thankyou Vera, Aggelos and the culinary team. The pork plum kebab and beef rib in particular were both beautifully prepared and packed with flavour. Each dish was thoughtfully explained, and the experience began with a gin-based appetiser that was simply delightful. The meal ended with a heartfelt hug from the team, which made us feel genuinely part of the family.||As a Welsh guest, it truly felt like coming home. While crème brĂťlĂŠe and baklava were not available during our stay, we would love to see both added to the dessert menu in the future, theyâre personal favourites and would be a perfect finish to an already exceptional dining experience.||Just adjacent to Green & Grill is Bubbles Barâan ideal haven for those seeking total relaxation. This serene pool area allows guests to bathe and unwind in peaceful surroundings, with the added luxury of swimming up to the bar for a refreshing drink. Itâs the perfect spot to take a break from the more active areas of the resort and simply soak in the calm atmosphere.||A close second highlight was, without a doubt, our continued experiences at Theaâs Bar, where Ralucaâs smile and warmth lifted our spirits at any time of day.||To the entire Atlantica Aegean Park team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your hospitality, service, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. We sincerely look forward to reviewing more Atlantica Hotels in the future.||Warmest regards,|Lisa and Andrew ...
