I stayed in Loutro with my two kids, 7 and 10 years old for two nights in late September. We had a triple room on the second floor with a gorgeous view overlooking the bay and the seaside promenade. Great location. ||||One of my best memories of our trip to Greece was sitting on this balcony and watching the sun go up, locals opening their tavernas, a man fishing and visitors taking a morning swim in the clear waters. At night you could hear people talking an laughing in the restaurants just outside and the sea. Loutro is a magical place. ||||The room itself was nice and clean and great value for money. Read moreGot a room for a night at Faros on a snap decision during a day-trip to Loutro, so my wife and I could enjoy a full day in the village - it was absolutely marvellous!
We got a spacious room with balcony (including table, chairs and an umbrella) and ocean view, a big fridge and a very efficient aircon. Very clean and nice room.
The apartments are on top of a small convenience store so you can grab fresh fruit, wine, bear and snacks for the evening.
Another lovely detail is the vacation library, where guests leave their vacation books if they are done with them. I counted at least 5 different languages.
Absolutely worth a stay - the only minus is the very poor WiFi (service) but even that you can live with.

The rooms are spotlessly clean with white sheets, towels stacked in little pyramids at the end of the bed, on-suite facilities, and a fridge, all making for a perfect stay. I have been going to Faros for years and the only reason I haven't written a review before now is for selfish reasons, I'm afraid, I wanted to keep this secret all to myself but finally my conscious has got the better of me; the unfaltering kindness of Zambia and Stratos has to be shared. Go and find out...
