Hotel Efrosini — Hotel in Municipality of Sifnos

Lovely family run hotel right on the beach at the quiet end of Platy Gialos on Sifnos. We had a room for 5 nights on the first floor over looking the terrace and the beach. Room was quite small but comfortable. Spotlessly clean and had a little balcony where we could sit out and enjoy morning coffee and the view. Also a small washing line which was useful.|The shower was enclosed and the usual small size found in Greece. The breakfast was very good, you could also buy light lunches, ice cream etc from the bar which we did on a couple of occasions. There were sun loungers available for the guests which were very comfortable and great to relax on after a day out and about sightseeing.||The hotel is well placed for buses to other parts of the island and also the local bars and tavernas. Ok, so this hotel is in a prime location with the beach just a few steps away! Family owned business and they make you feel welcomed the moment you arrive. The service is excellent, breakfast is delicious and this place has a small clothes line to hang your wet bathing suits. In answering if the rooms were non-smoking, I said no as you can smoke in the balcony. I wish smokers would be more mindful as I did see cigarette butts all over the sand, everywhere, not just by this hotel. The only complaint I have was about the bed and shower. The bed was like sleeping on rocky/pebbled concrete, not comfortable AT ALL, but have to say I would still return as everything else made up for it. I wish I could contribute to a better mattress the next time I visit, yes… next time. The shower is really small, but gets the job done and was expected as most European hotels have small showers. This small family run hotel is one of those places where you instantly feel comfortable and relaxed !||Right on the beach at Platis Gialos, at the quieter end, away from most of the bars and tavernas but just a short walk to everything, the location is perfect. The beach is in a horseshoe bay, with a shallow sea, ideal for children.||The hotel is immaculately clean, with simple rooms and great views. It has a large veranda where meals and drinks are served and some of the local Greek families come to dine and chat, if that's not an endorsement of the hotel and it's qualities I don't know what is!||The hotel is run by mother Irene, son and daughter Spiros and Maria, and assisted by waitress Maria, who all take such pride in the Efrosini that it shines through.||We loved our time here so much that we tried to extend our stay, but unfortunately we couldn't get the ferries and flights to marry up.||Perfect place for a relaxing retreat, we can't...
