cafe-meze misso misso — Restaurant in Municipality of Sifnos

We arrived at the cafe on a Saturday morning around 10:00. The place was half empty, around 4 tables occupied. As we were talking, we then realised 20 minutes had passed without anyone taking our order. I ordered the pancake dish with turkey and my companion the eggs Benedict. The pancakes(13 euro)were the flattest, thinnest bread I’ve ever been served, covered with 3 scoops of mayo. The eggs Benedict’s(13 euro) bread, entirely burnt top and bottom. When I asked the service whether they would eat it like that, they said they will carry the message to the chef. The only redeeming feature was redacting the dish from the bill. I made a very simple request SEVERAL times, but they clearly did not want to indulge me. In the end I had to do it myself… two partial dishes on the same plate. I offered to pay double the whole price for each of the dishes BUT I wanted them served on the same plate. They brought out the two in different bowls, and so I emptied the two bowls onto a small plate… not even a full sized plate. It was pot-roasted beef and giant baked beans. Both with a tomato base. Cannot comment on the food as we never tried it. We end up eating and spending 100€ in a restaurant close by. The reason is that we sat on the sunbeds at 11:30 and they charged us 30€ until 13:30 and if we wanted to stay the rest of the day we had to pay another 40€. That is 70€ in total for a set for 2 people! This is a disgrace. Having 2 seatings in sunbeds per day. And I would understand if we came at 9 in the morning spending 4-5 hours there. but having the audacity to charge us 30€ for 2 hours. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Coffee...
