A bit of context. Edem was not our first choice because we had set our minds set on staying on the beach, but most places were unavailable and very pricey. We stumbled upon Eden by chance and I am so glad we did. The place is a couple of minutes walking to the beautiful beach. Of Platys Gialos. This place is a run by a wonderful couple who are charming and intent on providing stellar customer service. They are there to make your stay an unforgettable one. Lambros and Natasa were a pleasure to deal with while we were making the travel arrangements and all throughout our stay. The place is spectacular. We rented a two level apartment like structure. Each level had its own beds, bathroom, and above all veranda with views of the sea. The rooms were spotless and fully air-conditioned. Our deck had a sleep sofa under covered awning the provided ample opportunity for midday siestas. The property is surrounded by Olive trees, lemon trees, fig trees. The price includes an incredible buffet with items made from locally sourced ingredients. There is covered seating outdoors to enjoy the breakfast. Delicious food and abundant. We also met Flora, who is in charge in some capacity in the kitchen. I have stayed in hotels around the world, but rarely have I felt appreciated and enjoyed my stay so much as I have in this place. This little island dotting the Aegean is a little gem. Hope to...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived I knew we had made a good decision to stay at Edem. It has a lovely and really beautiful outside space and we were made to feel really welcome. Lovely little touches made it extra special like providing our 2 children with organic kids toiletries (exactly the same as we’ve been given at Firmdale hotels in London) Rooms were very clean. Beds and pillows all fine. Nice Olive based toiletries in bathroom. ||Breakfast was fantastic. Practically all home made. Was a real highlight of the day. The hotel is set amongst fruit and olive trees and has a lovely flow to it. It’s very central. Really quiet and is only a few mins walk to the beach. Chryssoula (Owner) made sure that we had everything that we needed and helped us with restaurant reservations including a brilliant choice of restaurant in Apollonia one evening. Thankyou for helping to make our time in Syfnos so amazing. We are really grateful to you and your...
Read moreI found this hotel while I was scanning the area on google maps (after being disappointed from the prices or the quality of the hotels around).||Yes this hotel is not a luxury one, does not have sea view/seafront location or swimming pool, however staying there is the best experience you can have on the island of Sifnos. This is because of the most hospitable and friendly owners/staff we have ever encountered.|| The location is a few meters only from the sea. There is a nice rural and quiet atmosphere. The room was really good, clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities.||The breakfast really good and seemed homemade. There were lots of options and Fotis was always happy to explain and help. ||The price of the room was reasonable (Sifnos is an expensive island).||If you prefer to stay in Platys gialos area, Edem hotel is an...
