Underwhelming under all levels.
Listless and bumptious staff, the quality of the food below expectations, especially when compared to the price, and the arrogance and haughtiness of the restaurant owner and his henchwoman made our experience at Omega3 totally unsatisfactory.
And to think that my girlfriend and I had decided to dine here a 1 year ago finding ourselves on vacation in Sifnos following the directions of Condé Nast Traveler. At the time we failed in our goal as the restaurant was completely full in the 3 days we were on the island. This year we decided to book in advance to secure a place for one of the nights we would be in Sifnos. And so it was that 3 weeks in advance we booked for two on the evening of 8/18/22. Upon arriving at the venue we are shown to our table by the manager, two stools sacrificed in the left corner of the venue, facing inward and where not a breath of wind comes. The place has a few seats and the others turn out to be already occupied when we arrive; however, we ask the courtesy of our waiter (who spoke very poor English) to move us further toward the sea later in the evening if something became available. Our waiter reported the request to the manager, who with a visibly annoyed attitude turned to us and asked what the problem was. Explaining that there was no problem, but that we had simply asked for the courtesy, if it were possible, of moving to another table later in the evening because it was very hot there, we welcome her willingness to accommodate our request. We begin ordering by asking for suggestions and clarifications on the menu from our waiter who, speaking little of the language, was unable to satisfy our requests. The courses arrive, 5 different dishes, from Omega3 tiradito (a kind of cheviche) to wrekfish fillet. The only noteworthy one is the "semi-cured amberjack," the others are just sufficient in taste, cooking and flavor combinations on the plate. As soon as the courses arrive, two seats in front, on the sea-facing balcony, become available. I search with my eyes for the manager who, having arrived at the height of our table, lowers her gaze and pulls straight to escort two other guests (as she will confirm later, without a reservation) to their seats. Dinner continues in sweat, disappointment, and the knowledge that guests in Omega3 are being treated like chickens to be plucked by an ownership that evidently feels arrived and fulfilled by its current financial success. Our courses concluded, we were totally ignored for 1h, I solicited a menu to see whether or not to order something else, still being very hungry due to the skimpy portions of the 5 courses already consumed. Our waiter prevents us from looking at the full menu because in half an hour and we should clear the table, and tells us that at most we might make time for dessert. We then order a panna cotta and ask for the bill: €165 for 6 courses, the bread and a bottle of wine for €52. For the sake of the record highlighted that after us the place will remain semi-empty being already late in the evening.
Before we leave I point out to the manager, who was standing next to the owner at the time, that I had noted with displeasure that our requests to be moved had not been granted, although there was a possibility. Here goes a painful little theater in which she first pretends not to understand or remember, even asking us if we still had to dine (!) and then finally admits the mistake.
Embarrassing attitude from someone who aspires to be a fine dining restaurant and who should prioritize quality of service first and food and location second.
Trust us, there are plenty of other places in Platis Gialos and Sifnos that deserve more than Omega3. Don't make the same mistake we did and save yourself bitter blood, bland food and...

After already many good experiences with food in Greece and several options on the menu that sounded appealing, we asked for a place on the terrace. We (group of 3) ordered the "steamed seasonal greens" as a starter/side dish. This appeared to be nothing more than a small portion of spinach with too much vinegar. The next dish contained some traces of trout (

Overrated, Pretentious and Poor Service
TA review no: 681319656
Knowing that an A list celebrity frequently dines in, and island being still empty, went without a booking at 8:15, a dark hair gent stopped us rudely & said he'd come back, but never did. 10 minutes later another server noticed and kindly showed us two tables that would vacate soon. No ask of pre-dinner drinks, managed to fetch him and ordered wine. While serving, he showed the table he would get ready! 45 minutes later with no luck to re-order, the table we were waiting for was given to newcoming guests by the dark hair server who ignored us. When mentioned to our server, he claimed that they had reservation not knowing I am Turkish and could understand the guests' chatting in between. An hour later, seated at another table. The food was ok but not memorable. Biscuits Cheese Herring, Fish Roe Mousse, Crayfısh Orzo, King Scallops and a Soup...My husband ordered two soups, one served, the server claimed it was what we ordered and moved on. Servers not accessible even though the person who served us was kind but overall poor service with much pretention, no eye contact & genuine attention. They seem to be too busy serving a select of tables where they seem to go after getting some tips perhaps. When we wanted to order for more, no luck to get attention, gave up and decided to pay, had to get up to pay the bill. I saw the chef as were paying, and I wanted to give him constructive feedback for improvement, but the chef was too arrogant to...
