Palmira — Restaurant in Municipality of Sifnos

Uber popular brunch & coffee joint next door to Omega 3. We just dropped in for a coffee, but the scrambled eggs on toasted sourdough ordered at the table next to us looked absolutely cracking - sadly, we'd already had a generous breakfast at our hotel. Service here is warm and friendly and we were served very swiftly, ordering a couple of cappuccinos. As the coffees are made to order, it took a while, but looked the business when they arrived. Sadly, both were luke warm and well below even outdoor room temperature, even if the coffee was very good. €9 bucks for a couple of coffees as chambré as the chill out cover music to gulp along to – thanks but no thanks. Yes - I could have complained, but as the saying goes, "You had one job." Besides, there seemed little point in waiting a further ten minutes. So a bit of advice for anyone dropping in for a coffee - be sure to order your capuccino or latté hot. And those scrambled eggs did look excellent....

Palmira is the ultimate beach bar in Platis Gialos. During my 4-day holiday in Sifnos, I found myself coming back here again and again — whether it was relaxing at the tables or lounging on the beach chairs right by the water.

Their Bloody Marys are easily the best I’ve had — perfectly balanced and at a very reasonable price, so of course, I had more than a few! I also tried a few dishes from the menu: the club sandwich, Dakos salad, and cheeseburger. Everything was fresh and tasty, but the cheeseburger was an absolute standout.

After drinking a couple of sip from my expensive cold press juice, I left the table for a few minutes, only to find that the waitress has taken the juice away in the meantime. To be noted that such juices look watered down after a while, as the water concentrates at the bottom.

After realising, I told the waitress that she’s taken away my juice and without apologising while making a face grimace, she brought back half a glass of juice.
