To Steki — Restaurant in Municipality of Sifnos

At the same area there some more nice restaurants but this one is the most affordable one. If you are able to spend more, 30 meters away is the Omega3. But in this restaurant you won’t pay a fortune and you will eat well. I truly believe that this place is value for money. We paid 50€ and we had 5 plates including fish that is general expensive. So we had local falafel(revithokeftedes) that is a must, xorta, saganaki , fried calamary and small fish( fried gavros) plus beer and we paid 25€ per person and the food was enough, and we are greeks so we eat a bit more…keep that in mind! The restaurant offers a classic Greek menu and the dishes I have tried were all quite delicious. The location directly by the beach is lovely. The service, however, was disappointing. I ate here o. 2 consecutive evenings and each time I was ignored forever even though I always waited to be seated. Then I sat there without menu or any attention for about 15min before one of the waiters tended to me. All other tables with couples or groups git more attention. My food was literally dumped on my table, they waiters didn’t even look at me or said “enjoy your food” which I found very sad. Meh. We were pretty surprised by the place tbh. Because the other reviews were mainly pretty good. The place is lovely. You sit under the trees, right at the beach, overlooking the sea. It's undeniably gorgeous. But... The food was only OK, absolutely nothing special. We had a lot of much better meals during our vacation. Mine was OK (potatoe-garlic-paste for starter (forgot the name, sorry) and Moussaka afterwards). My friend's was pretty disappointing. It was the chickpea specialty from Sifnos.
