Lost Bay Cocktail Bar Restaurant Sifnos - Platis Gialos — Restaurant in Municipality of Sifnos

We booked in advace and paid 120 euros for two sunbeds. We were told that we can consume all we wanted from the bar-restaurant up to this amount so we were really ok with that since we planned on staying all day there... The place is beautiful, the atmosphere and service very nice, the sea amazing, the music a bit off, i would expect something less uptempo to match the serenity of the spot... Our sunbeds were huge and luxurious. But upon our arrival I realised there was no shade, optional or not, so i asked the waiter to move us if we were to be under the sun all day... He told us that the sun would go down a tree right next to our beds and give us shade, but that never happened. Still ok. When we went upstairs to the building for lunch, the setting was very nice too, the view amazing... We had a lot of money to spend and we would pay even more, but there were very few options on the menu, so we ended up spending less than the prepaid amount. In addition, the only dish with pasta and smoked salmon was missing from the catalogue... I wish the restaurant had more choices, when you're at a nice place upon a beautiful beach you want to taste all the freshness of the greek veggies and fish/seafood not burgers and typical fried...

Wow! What a gem we accidentally found here. Other places on the beach were trying to charge €40-50 per lounge chair just to sit so we walked along the beach and found this spot. He said they normally ask for a minimum consumption of €100 for the bed (for 2 people) for the day, but since they weren’t expecting a busy day we could sit and not worry about a minimum consumption. We arrived around 11am and was there until 5:00pm. Several rounds of drinks and an amazing club sandwich and it was €99. We started with some Freddo espressos, then transitioned to the hard stuff. Aperol Spritz all day. They were great. We shared a chicken club sandwich and even two of us couldn’t eat all the potatoes they sent. It was so good! We saw other food our neighbors ordered and the bao wraps looked great too! The day beds were super comfy and I think we both napped a little bit. The beach itself was super nice. Calm waters and sandy. No water shoes were required. We had a young gentleman from Athens as our server and he was so great. Very friendly and attentive. Best beach...

Went on our first day. Paid 100++ for the beds, drinks, food. Then decided to book for another day online. Paid 100 eur deposit.

Then our plans changed and more than 1 day before we decided to cancel our reservation. In the email it says (in Greek) "if your plans change feel free to click here and cancel". We were on the go and we thought let's cancel ahead, still plenty of time for them (Lost Bay) to get new customers. So we cancelled.

But then figured out that there is also small print on the website saying that deposits are not returned... After they answered to or question rather rudely.

I mean:) what a scammy approach. In the email you encourage to cancel easily and say nothing...and you don't return anything:) we were good customers two days before, buying overpriced food and drinks. And when our plans changed not allowing us to come - this place treats you bad.
