These rooms are situated in a very quiet area of Artemonas yet with access to restaurants, supermarkets, bakery and bus service. A 5 minute walk from the bus depot down a quiet lane leads to a hidden garden with views across a gulley to the church and distant sea. The rooms were excellent , good beds, nice large bathroom, shower gel and shampoo provided also. T.V. and CD player/radio. Extremely well decorated. The garden has sun loungers with towels provided, chairs and tables perfect for an evening drink. The owner very helpful, chatty and also owns The Myrto Hotel in Kamares. A frog chorus accompanied the evening sundowners. There is one 2 bed bungalow but the others are generous studios. A few more kichen utensils would have been helpful e.g. wooden spoon. The down stair ones have a lovely terrace shaded by green vine hanging with grapes. On one side of the studios is a large vegetable plot so no neighbours. Artemonas is the hub for all the bus services to all the beaches on the island so first on no seat fight!!! Would certainly stay...
Read moreFrom the moment we checked in, this stay just got better and better. We were getting married in Platis Gialos a week later and wanted to stay somewhere else on the island to experience a different side. When we arrived the directions were clear and easy to find, Melina met us at the door and was so helpful with everything. We got recommendations of places to visit, eat, and experience, with a marked up map. Each recommendation was 10/10 from small tavernas to rock jumping. Melina also helped secure an ATV as there are limited options on the island, making a reservation for us to collect the next day. To top it all off we received a beautiful handmade local pottery gift for our wedding, just a true testament to the ‘filotimo’ of Greek people. The room itself was clean, cool and plenty of space, a luxury these days on holiday. We couldn’t have asked for a better few days prior to our wedding, stress free and with all the help we could have asked for! Thank you Melina and the...
Read moreROOMS||These are actually studios, with their own little kitchen (basic cutlery provided). They are spacious, clean and they also have a large porch. Our room overlooked the little garden which was very beautiful. The price was not cheap (EURO 95 per studio / night for a double room), but we were satisfied with our choice as the room/studio was good. The owner of the hotel was very polite and helpful in suggesting places of interest to visit. There is internet connection if you have your own laptop. Overall, a good choice. ||LOCATION||The bungalows are located in Artemonas, near the capital of the island, Appolonia. They are 2 min walking from the main square of Artemonas. There is a bus service to the main areas of interest of the island, from the main square of Artemonas. If you have your own car, there is a huge parking area (free of charge) as you enter Artemonas (next to the main...
