MySarti Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Sithonia

I wanted to make a reservation through their website 30 days and 2 hours before the check-in date. At the payment stage, their website offered me two options: a reservation with a cancellation option, or a reservation without a cancellation option. The difference between the two was around €300.

Since our holiday plans were not certain, I chose the option with a cancellation right, paying extra, and completed half of the payment through their website.

About 8–9 days later, our travel plans changed, so we cancelled the reservation and started waiting for the refund.

After 10 days had passed, I emailed the property owner, attaching our reservation documents, and explained that the refund had not been made.

Later, I received a reply stating that the reservation was non-refundable and that cancellation was only possible 30 days before check-in, which they claimed had already expired.

If the cancellation right only applies up to 30 days before check-in, this should have been made explicitly clear during booking, and the system should have warned us at the time of cancellation. If cancellations are not possible at that point, such an option should not even have been offered.

In another email, I explained this. The owner agreed that the option should not have been offered, but still insisted no refund could be made, claiming “this is the rule.”

After many long days of emailing back and forth, the owner of this fraudulent website told us that he would not refund the €900 we had paid, saying that he had “made investments” and had expenses. On top of that, he resold the property for the same dates, making additional profit.

This place is entirely built on deceit, and I strongly advise against staying here.

You can easily find much nicer and more affordable houses in the Vourvourou area—and, more importantly, without being scammed.

From the movement you enter the property you feel like you enter an oasis of serenity and luxury . High end specs in the living areas . No expense was spared , I have stayed in many different places in Greece but this is in a league of its own . Secure access and parking space is available .
