We always get welcomed as family here at Ionian Eye studios, and this time was no different.
Upon arriving we were upgraded to the “Premier Suite “as our favourite apartment was being refurbished. OMG, how beautiful is this adorable apartment!!
There is everything that you will need for your stay – and more!
The air-conditioned bedroom area has an amazingly warm and comfortable bed that I just wanted to have an extra half an hour in watching TV on the large screen each morning.
The living area has an ample sized settee, another TV, and a kitchenette area where there was everything that we needed to make ourselves light meals if we so wished.
Also In this room, there is a dressing table complete with a hairdryer and enough cupboard/wardrobe space for what we needed.
There are large patio doors in this room that open up to your own sun lounging area complete with comfortable padded loungers.
The bathroom has a shower with stylish chrome showerhead and matching handset and modern washbasin and toilet.
Outside there is a spacious dining area shaded by a bamboo ceiling and a delightful cosy seating area where we enjoyed having a relaxing glass (or two) of wine in the evenings.
But wait for it – I have saved the best until last – OUR OWN PRIVATE JACUZZI/HOT TUB which we relished soaking in almost every night listening to nothing but the crickets and the chirping of the birds. We thought we had died and gone to heaven!
I must add that there is also a fantastic infinity pool that offers sun loungers, shaded areas and a bar that also serves snacks… and If you take the 5-minute walk into the village you will find 2 supermarkets that sell absolutely everything that you need…and plenty of tavernas – many right on the beautiful and vibrant beach…but, in all honesty, it was our upgrade to this absolutely stunning, tastefully decorated suite (and the lovely Corfiot weather) that made our stay absolutely PERFECT.
Thank you, Costas and Leigh, for the upgrade – we now have a new...
Read moreThis was my fifth time at Ionian Eye studios and as usual it did not disappoint. The staff are wonderful: Maid service is excellent; Leigh the Guest Services Manager is very friendly and happy to answer any questions with her considerable knowledge of the island and Costas the owner is such a lovely gentleman - always greeting you with a friendly hug and a big genuine smile. I stayed in a 2 roomed apartment with a big balcony and sea view. One room had a comfortable bed settee, a large flat screen TV and a very modern kitchen area where light meals could easily be prepared and a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The bedroom had an en-suite bathroom, a large mirror and dressing area, large flat screen TV, plenty drawers/cupboard space/clothes hangers and a massive bed which was so comfortable I considered an extra half hour each morning!! The rooms are surrounded by stunning sea views and lush foliage which is well maintained. The pool area is beautiful and modern, with a brand new bar area, new decking, very comfortable and modern sun loungers (both with and without shade) and a breath-taking view of the Ionian Sea. The studios themselves are exactly as in the numerous photos so you won’t get any nasty surprises! There is also free WiFi, a safe and air conditioning and a safe. The studios are situated in a peaceful area 5 minutes stroll from the village where there are 2 supermarkets, lots of taverns, coffee shops and the main beach. Thank you Costas and Leigh for everything. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this little piece of heaven...
Read moreI stayed at the Ionian Eye Design Studio for a few days in June. I came to Corfu Island to attend a wedding and this was one of the recommended accomodations. They organised an airport transfer when I arrived at night which cost 45 euros which is the standard rate in the area. I arrived late and there is not a 24hr reception area so they put my name on the door and told the driver where I was staying. The highlight is the pool and view from the pool. It’s a beautiful location and you can see the oceans and mountains. They also have some of the best sun beds I’ve ever laid on and they have a poolside bar. I would have liked to be able to create a tab for payment at the end of my stay or charged to my card but I couldn’t do that and I had to pay after each purchase. I’m giving them 4 stars because the room is small and the bathroom is tiny. There’s not a lot of room to move in the bathroom and the showers don’t have a door so the bathroom floods after every shower. There is one drain in the bathroom which is in the shower so when water escapes (which is guaranteed because there’s no shower door) the water pools by the sink and because there’s no drain you have to wait for it to dry up which can take hours. Apart from that it’s a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it if you don’t plan on spending much time in your room and you...
