Would not recommend. Hotel is lovely as are the bar staff. But we did have an eventful stay. The reception staff are very rude and had been since the literal minute we walked in. We were charged €50 deposit which we were not informed of beforehand and had been told by other guests they did not have to pay, they also charged us daily to use the safe no deposit taken. Housekeeping wasn’t the best with our balcony doors being left wide open more than once, baring in mind we were very low down, causing ants as well as leaving us with dirty towels. As well as us returning to room doors left unlocked by staff. The hotel staff wait and watch you come in from your night out and will shush you. We tried our best to be respectful and quiet but they honestly didn’t change their attitude. Worst of all our last day a housekeeper, Anna, inspected our room and gave us the all clear but at the reception we were charged €150 for “breaking a tv”. We had not touched this tv and we had barely been in the room to do any damage whilst also the night before when we put the key in the door to turn on the electrics and the TV lit up proving it was working hours before. They charged us for breaking the back panel which we did not do but then charged us for the whole TV, which the housekeeper had rattled while doing her inspection, moving the tv side to side herself and said it was fine. (Pictures are attached and circled what we where charged €150 for) we tried to politely argue we did not break the TV with “Yinnis”(may be misspelled). He was very arrogant and couldn’t have given a care in the world for our side of the story. Bottom line is we wish we had read the reviews that this hotel is not welcoming to young adults and I would not recommend or be returning. Again Big thank you to the bar staff who where nothing but kind and cracking jokes the only let down of the hotel was the treatment on the reception side. If you are planning a girls or boys holiday I recommend choosing a different hotel as although they do advertise as a “family holiday” they also advertise they are close to the beach and strip as well as being surrounded by party hotels they are STRICT and will rip it with fining you x

Arrived and was offered upgrade to half board for 10€ per adult and 5€ per child per night with air con included (normally 7€ per room per night). Thought this was great value so went for it and turned out to be a good decision as there was plenty to choose from for all, all good quality. See attached for half board menu. Was advised cleaners would come by on alternate days but they actually turned up daily without fail which was impressive. The rooms were a little dated but we didn't mind as we don't stay in them much and always expect this in Greece at this price point. No problem with cleanliness. Agree with others about the shower curtain, a strange design as water goes outside on to the floor but there's a drain, you just throw a towel on the floor, no biggie. Air con was fantastic, a must. Switched it to quiet mode at night once cool and you could barely hear it then. Was concerned us adults being in our 40s but wasn't a problem - needn't be worried at all as the young uns were really well behaved. No rowdiness at all at night (possible the security helped a little but never noticed). Couldn't hear the strip at all, just far enough up the hill. 'Pints' in the hotel were 3€ although actually in 400ml glasses so 4.25€ per pint really. A bit of a common practice elsewhere in the resort as well which was a little misleading. Recommend Cheers Bar at the far end for 2€ 'pints' and 3.5€ for imported drinks (Smirnoff/Southern Comfort/JD etc). They were 5€ elsewhere. Loved Stefan's dry wit, he a legend. Wembley also good for a decent size lunch and John/Georgina's or Famous Bar for Karaoke or just somewhere to go to drink with people of, shall we say, an older age ha. Only issue is getting past the main strip and the touts to get there but there's a useful (steep at first) road you can take to bypass all that. Just turn right out of the hotel entrance and up the hill to get straight to the far end of the resort. Dark at night though... Overall if you're going to Kavos would recommend this place highly, don't think many others nearby offer the location and facilities for the money.

upon arrival was very happy with our choice of hotel! the outside is so clean & pretty. it’s like a little village - i love it! the pool area is very clean and we never struggled to get a sunbed. i’d give our room 3 stars - it was very clean, immaculate! however the main shower head didn’t work so we had to use the small in hand one every night & the beds were like laying on wood.. neither of us slept well the entire 4 nights! compared to other people’s pictures i think we had one of the ‘worse’ rooms. however, as said was very clean upon arrival just a shame about the beds and shower. the staff are all very friendly and helpful. the man at the bar in the evenings is lovely and always says hello to us as we walk by and is always smiling! the gentlemen on reception was very kind and helpful too. my personal opinion - the food selection isn’t the best! but that is most likely down to be being a fussy eater - although my mum wasn’t a fan either. you have to buy your own drinks at dinner, no free ones like with your breakfast! when we did get a drink with our dinner, they was flat. the restaurant itself though, again is clean and nice. the menu you can access throughout the day for lunch has a lot of options and the food from that was lovely. overall, i did like this hotel! it’s just a shame a few things let it down. the area is very quiet and peaceful. beautiful views of main land greece from the hotel ! thank you 😊

Overall a good hotel. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Food was ok but very little choice, they don’t have chips and nuggets everyday like other hotels so fussy eaters would struggle. Pool is clean and we liked the fact that it was not difficult to get a sunbed, other hotels we’ve been too before we struggle to get a sunbed but in this hotel there are always free ones so that’s good. The lady behind bar by the pool is very nice, always smiling. We did not have a problem with the night porter guy until last day. We would go into the strip and come back at 3-5 in the morning, we would always whisper when walking back to the hotel and in our rooms so he did not say anything but would look at us with a very grumpy face. Last night, I walked by myself after going out, and later my friend walked back with a guy she met. The night porter said he’s not allowed to go into the hotel which is completely understandable and my friend had no problem with saying goodbye and going back by herself into our room. She just wanted to be walked back safe. But this did not finish and the night porter was saying that we will be in big trouble with manager next day, that we would not get back our deposit (we never gave one in the first place) and that we would have to pay extra for causing troubles. All this scaring my friend because she walked with a guy to the entrance of the hotel, really??? So unnecessary. He also said that apparently I walked back that night with someone else?? He said that he will check the cctv later and send it to the police. I did not walk with anyone, I was by myself. He also said that my friend is lucky that he is not working in the reception the next day. We did not have to pay anything extra in the end. Luckily he was not on reception, otherwise he would start making up reasons to pay extra for nothing. Personally I think that the night porter is either bored of his own life and just looks for arguments or ways to make money. Hopefully the hotel changes the night porter to someone who actually has social skills and is not rude for no reason. The guy will probably still work there because he makes extra money for the hotel by trying to scam young people. ||We are very organised people who like to go out and drink and have fun ( we are young after all) But at the same time we are calm, respectful and non-argumentative people so my friend didn’t even engage with him further. We read the trip advisor reviews and rules before the holiday and we were very respectful during our stay. Because we read reviews about this man before, we were always prepared when walking back to the hotel, we would silence ourselves when walking back and talk very quietly in our room when it was late (hence why we never had a noise complaint) But all this effort was still not enough for this man. |Other than this we enjoyed our stay in the hotel, all the rest of the staff are lovely even the cleaners smiled when they saw us. Im giving the start a 4/5 because I will not let this one individual man change my opinion, when all the other...

The hotel is great. We were in a standard double room for a week and honestly, it was bigger than I expected. Just to warn you, not every room has a terrace. You can have a patio or a terrace. In our room there were 3 beds. They were really comfy and every night I slept like a baby. The bathroom was small, but everything was in the right place. Of course, they give you small soaps and shampoos. The sink was big and it was ideal for washing clothes in it. The shower had a curtain so you don't spill water over everything. The wardrobe was big enough and there were many hangers and we didn't even use ours. There was a small ironing board too. There was also a kitchenette with a fridge, cupboards, drawers and a sink. There were glasses and cutlery, so you can cook if you want. I just noticed there wasn't a stove, so maybe you can ask for a single hot plate at the reception... We didn't cook for ourselves so I can't tell you about that. There was AC in the room. That's important - there was no Wi-Fi in the room, but you can use it around the pool. Many people say that drunk people yell at night, but it's actually pretty quiet. Well... the glass doors to the patio were closed so I suppose it was fine. Our room was on the first floor and was with a patio. There were 3 chairs and a table. The maids cleaned our room and threw the garbage out every day around 2-3 p.m. They changed our sheets and towels in the middle of our stay. We were in the block "Athina" and it was near stairs, leading to another block. There were many wasps on the stairs. Be careful while going up those stairs. The only minus there is that because of the plants there are many mosquitoes, wasps and hornets. On breakfast some wasps try to get on your food, but they're not aggressive, at least not aggressive like in our country. They don't try to sting you unless you get in their way. Also, they don't chase you if you walk past them. Just leave them alone and you'll be just fine. And a bonus - the hotel has its own supermarket with good prices. Shortly said, it was just great and I hope we'll come back and stay...
