The location wasn’t hard to find even though we did struggling getting past the front of the driveway since it was a bit narrow for a big car, but there is parking spaces so that’s something.
We got to the reception, completed out the forms and for something also had to put in our passport details? Never had to do that before, normally it’s just the names and surname that they needed but on top of that the receptionist was requesting an extra fee of €1 as ‘tax’ in cash. We had already pre paid on booking, especially including the taxes so we was genuinely confused and we didn’t carry cash as we use card every we go as it’s more efficient.
But I will say the people are friendly and approachable and do communicate well in terms of the English language.
The rooms were horrible. It seemed like it wasn’t cleaned in a very long time especially the white furniture where you could cleaning see dirty stains and dust. For example the fridge, covered in dirt and wasn’t cleaned at all, inside and out.
The fact that the room was spacious and quite open to bugs was alone worrying during the night. It was rather unnerving to sleep there with all the mosquitos flying around.
The windows didn’t have nets to prevent anything getting in, which would’ve actually been useful if present. The beds at least had covers except the blankets provided were itchy material and wasn’t in the least comfortable so we had to settle for the thin bed covers as something to sleep under. The beds were practically nearly rock solid and were a pain to sleep in.
There was air con but €5 per night is too greedy for a place that hot to sleep in. The towels provided felt like sand paper, possibly from being dried too much but it wasn’t at all comfortable to use and there was a couple visible stains, not so visible but it was there.
The facilities in this room were the worst. Smallest shower space I’ve ever seen, couldn’t even fit properly without getting hit on every side from the shower handle or getting stuck in the shower curtain that kept sticking to you. The toilet was right next to the shower and literally no space was left between the two, too close. The sink was also squeezed next to the shower, the light was too dim, mirror too high and the sink was still small but at least decent to use. Not to mention there was zero water pressure and the shower itself was hard to use in terms of figuring out how to switch it from tap to shower head. If you wanted hot water you would had to wait at least 10 minutes before it actually got to a decent temperature to use.
Baring in mind this is towards the end of May and it was apparently raining a week before so there shouldn’t have been...
Read moreThe worst experience in all travel history! As a couple we booked double bed studio room, on arrival been told there's no double bed in all appointments. Studio didn't looked even close to pictures that were posted previously!!! We got 2 single beds size of teenager bed that legs hanging out of frames, obsalutely worned out matrasses that not able to sleep, no duvets only old stinky dirty blankets, there was no kitchen, only old fridge that was so loud that had to switch off for the night, aircon only available for 5eur per day, moskitos getting in even through closed doors and windows, state of bathroom and toilet made me cry, I'd say wasn't renewed since 80's. Water pressure issues and temperature that constantly changes from freezing cold to boiling temperature than desapiers, so forget about getting nice shower. Cutlery not provided only 1 glass and a kettle that smelled that someone kept toilet brush in it, so I didn't took a chance to use it. We paid for room cleaning and it's supposed to be cleaned every second day, but within 2 weeks room was cleaned only twice. There's no WiFi, there's no parking facilities, it's about 1.5km walk to the beach (30min), swimming pool was so dirty full of dead insects, and rubbish on the bottom, when I descovered on the bottom used tampons on the bottom of swimming pool it made me feel sick. Outside studios private houses and people keep chickens and dogs. If you are prepared to get up at 3 am from non stop roaring rooster and non stop barking dog book this studios. I'm not mazahist to suffer non sleep nights from farm outside, roast in deadly heat, been eaten alive by moskitos and quality of the room... Sorry but most hostels has much better quality and comfort. Awful, just awful for...
Read moreWe came here at around 10PM on Thursday (4th of May). They gave us the key to the room but told us that we will need to switch them because we have booked a cheaper room and due to some problems they had we were given this other, better room. It was very nice from the receptionist to offer that. The receptionist also helped us to organize the whole stay, recommended places to see etc. We said, it's okay. That first room wasn't clean and had some things left after the previous guests and it wasn't as bad as the second one. It had a coach a nice design and it was relatively big. The other room that we have switched to though was terrible. Pipes sticking out the walls, dirty walls covered in killed mosquitoes and dried out blood. The blankets that we were given were covered in something white. It was already dry 👀 after calling them to change it we have been told that the soonest they can do it is the next morning so we were left with the dirty sheets for the night. The breakfasts were okay and the staff was nice. The service was also nice enough that we were given breakfast twice after 11AM (this is the final moment for breakfast) and they prepared the breakfast for us anyway so that was very kind. Air conditioning is for extra 5 euros per day. This opinion is not a personal attack on anyone. We would only like to give an opinion about the OVERALL service and the building/rooms themselves. I think some rooms require some renovation before taking more guests because the photos on the website look different than...
