!!! NOT RECOMMENDED !!! Please read before you book!!! This is NOT a 5 star hotel. More like a 2 star hotel. If even.... We had to stay 4 days, but we ran away from that hotel on the second day. Booked this hotel for my birthday week in Santorini and it was a complete disaster and disappointment. COSTUMER SERVICE: - The service was very unprofessional. On our first day at the hotel we didn't like our room. We tried to change room and the gentleman at the reception could not to anything about it. We had to wait until the next morning. Owner was very rude and defensive when we explained what we didn't like aout the hotel and our stay. We never heard ine single SORRY for all the trouble and inconveniences durin our stay. - The housekeeper RANDOMLY entered our room unlocking our room with her own keys WITHOUT even knocking on the door! I got scared and asked her to leave. She could not understand English and just entered our room WITHOUT PERMISSION to call reception. I was very pissed about this. - There is no ironing board in the room. We were told that they charge 5 euro per clothing to iron. At our next hotel we just asked the the receptionist and they brought it for us. Wit no cost. LOCATION: - If you want to travel by bus, this hotel is quite far from the only busstop nearby, almost 11 minute walk. Was okay. No beahes nearby. We really had to rent a car. ROOMS: - THE WORST 5-STAR ROOM IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Number 102!!! Do not enter this room. As abovementioned, we didn't like our room at all. HORRIBLE moldy smell, everything was RUSTY, the bathroom had the worst septic tank smell. Our bed was rock hard and the sheets smelled like old clothing. Everything was falling apart en the airco was super old and noisy. The marketing pictures are super MISLEADING!!! DON'T FALL FOR IT PLEASE!!! - We had a room change for one day. We changed to room 103. Is was better and the smell was better, but the main inconveniences of the room were still present. The bed was still hard rock, airco still noisy and everything was also falling. BREAKFAST - Please, don't even bother. We had the worst cold breakfast ever!!! It looks okay on the pictures, but the potatoes were ABSOLUTELY NOT FRESH! The bacon was so hard and dry, not edible AT ALL!!! The croissants were BURNED, DRY AND HARD. And I can go on. See pictures. This hotel made my birthday experience in Santorini a total disappointment and gave me EXTREME STRESS!!! No room change could have made it better, we could just BREATHE better. We didn't use the pool, so no comments about it. Also, we were charged 4 euro for the tourist tax, while all over the island was this 3 euro!!

We came to Maistros Village from Hungary for a family holiday. We looked at several other places based on Booking reviews, but booked here for the location, pool and breakfast options. After booking, we also checked the Google reviews, which seemed pretty depressing and we were a bit apprehensive about travelling because of all the negative comments. Once we arrived, all our doubts were dispelled and we were absolutely delighted with the accommodation and the attitude of the staff. I would particularly highlight the kindness of the reception lady Roza and the all-encompassing attention of Mr Nicolas at the pool bar, but not to be neglected the smiling staff at breakfast. Breakfast can be a bit of a problem (according to the negative comments), but I don't think there is a problem as there is enough and plenty of choice for everyone. I wrote so much about my experience because in Hungary our family runs 3 guesthouses with due diligence and I think that often guests express a vision rather than reality when they review a place - obviously there can be minor faults, but we are here to relax and not to tease! In conclusion, having visited almost every part of the island, we can say that Maistros Village (almost in the middle of the island, relatively close to everything) is an ideal and perfect choice for a holiday!

Very far from a 5 star hotel!! When we entered in the room it smelled very bad. We were supposed to be in a suite with a private pool. The room was quite big but not comfortable at all, there were very few furniture, no drawers at all for the clothes and just one hook to hang up the towels. On the balcony the chairs were full of rust and the private pool was next to some kind of machine, the environment was definitely not appealing. There was humidity everywhere on the walls. The soap dispenser was falling from the wall all the time. The air conditioning was old and noisy. The sunbeds around the pool were extremely dirty. The water suddenly stopped running when we were having a shower one day. This is an old establishment that needs to be renovated. We were offered a meal prior to our departure, the staff was trying to be friendly but the whole experience was not good and overall very disappointing

We booked the Maistros village hotel through Love Holidays for 10 days in July this year. The hotel was described as luxury 5 star with the following amenities|Pool and wellness|Outdoor swimming pool|Sun loungers and parasols|Gym|Massages|Spa treatments|*charge applies|Leisure|Private pool|Outdoor freshwater pool: 1|Sun loungers|Parasols|Massage (fees may apply)|Spa treatments (fees may apply)|Food and drink|Restaurant|BBQ facilities|Café|Poolside snack bar|Bar|Breakfast room|Room|Air conditioning|Heating|WiFi|Flatscreen TV|Satellite channels|Private bathroom|Hairdryer|Telephone|Minibar|Balcony or terrace||On arrival we were told there was no gym, no spa, no restaurant.||Room - the room was large, clean and spacious. We had our own plunge pool and sea view. It was well cleaned daily however the water was never replenished. We would have expected more of a 5 star hotel but overall the room was fit for purpose.||WIFI - the wifi didn't work resulting in us all having to purchase additional data. We spoke to reception about this 3 times and were told that they were working on it. It was never resolved and never worked for the duration of our stay. This is unacceptable.||Pool - the pool was nice. However it was used daily by the local youths. One day we counted 19 boys - using all of the sunloungers, diving in the pool, playing football. We were hit by the ball on a few occasions but received no apology from the kids or the hotel staff. It was extremely intimidating and made the pool area unusable for us.||Breakfast - terrible. The cheapest ingredients - awful white sliced bead, concentrated orange juice, cold sausages, eggs and bacon. As this was the only food they were offering we expected it to be good. It was virtually inedible and not how we expected a Greek breakfast to be. It was like the hotel couldn't be bothered due to few guests - but we paid a lot of money to stay here and should not have been penalised for low occupancy. ||Spa - there was no spa. I was told a massage could be arranged.||Gym - we could see a small gym but were told that we couldn't use it.||Restaurant - there was no restaurant or snack bar as advertised. Whilst they made food for some of the local kids, there was nothing available to us. The bbq facilities advertised were also never available to us. This was hugely disappointing and provided a totally different experience to what was advertised and what we were expecting. ||Location - the hotel is in a small village called Karterderos. There were a few shops and restaurants but it was very very quiet. We would walk daily up a very steep hill to catch the bus the Fira. If you are looking for peace/isolation - this is the place for you.||We contacted Love Holidays during our holiday but were told that we needed to speak to the hotel. We did this. Overwhelmingly this hotel is falsely advertised - most of what they say is on offer is not. Love Holidays told us that they rely on the hotel to feed them up to date information regarding amenities etc. There has clearly been a breakdown in communication. This hotel, we feel, was missold and misadvertised. Customers should have honest and truthful information in order to make informed booking choices. ||We would not return to this hotel. Importantly the staff were kind and helpful. But they could never compensate for everything that was lacking. This is not a 5 star hotel - it is a 3 star at the...

We had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. We booked (months ago) a stay at another resort. They then informed us 2 days before our stay that they no longer had a room for us for our first day and booked us our first day at their sister hotel Maistros Village. Although this was very inconvenient to have to move again on our short stay- we were told it was a 5 star hotel and we will have a nice suite.

This was absolutely not a 5 star hotel. We arrived midday and since this hotel was not in a central location like our original hotel, we decided to just stay by the hotel pool since we already needed to pay for a cab to get to the main area where we had dinner reservations (made when we thought we would be within walking distance). This hotel has no views from the pool and is not walking distance to anything. And worst of all, I was told the pool was closed on the 1 day we were there.

The room was no better. The bed was rock hard, there was no shower, and the bathroom smelled like mold. We were woken up by a man screaming in the morning for 20 minutes.

The breakfast was terrible. It was almost gone when we got there despite being there almost an hour before it ended. There was 1 croissant, no more meat/ cheese, no more coffee, cold eggs.

The most frustrating part of this was our departure. They made us check out (without warning) an hour before they arranged for us to leave via transfer so we had to rush to get out and then just had to sit downstairs with all of our luggage waiting. The transfer was then 40 minutes late.

So we wasted the previous afternoon and entire next morning and early afternoon at this hotel. I couldn’t explore the area and I couldn’t use the pool so it was truly just wasted. We had plans to visit a museum and explore the town which we could not do. We have 2.5 days in Santorini and we wasted one full day of them at...
