Floralia — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

The hosts and owners of Floralia (Flora and Jack) are the most wonderful, kind, generous and hard working people we have met in Santorini. They made us feel at home and had a very personal approach towards our stay. ||||Before the arrival all correspondence was prompt without delay. Flora kindly offered for a free pick up from the airport to the hotel (at 7:20am). Was a massive help because we have never been to Santorini and didn't know our way around. I might add here that upon departure we also got a free lift to the main bus station.||||We left our luggage in their secure front office and were dropped off in the city of Fira (at free of charge)... We got to wonder around and sight see the beautiful town at sunrise, before it got packed with tourists and over crowded. ||||We got to check in a little earlier as our room was made a priority - very handy after a long and exhausting trip. ||||The hotel nestled approx. 1km or so from Fira is a perfect distance away as its not too far and not too close to the busy touristy attractions and located in the centre part of the island making it an ideal location when exploring both ends of the island on separate days.||||The rooms with a separate bathroom, kitchen/dining and a balcony was perfect for what we were after. Kept very clean and tidy we felt like at home. Cleaned every day, we returned to a fresh smelling room every day after the floors were moped - room tidied up and bed made.||||Both Flora and Jack have been very helpful giving tips on local attractions as well as hidden places to visit (not so touristy places). ||||We will definately stay here again when visiting Santorini again in he future... No need to go to overpriced hotels in the busy touristy places that charge you ridiculous prices for the same thing.||||On a separate note, if you have a couple of days to visit Santorini, I would highly recommend hiring a quad bike (ATV) - approx. 60€ for 2 days for a 200cc (depending which place you hire it from). You'll get to explore places all over the island where local public buses and taxis will not take you. The freedom of moving around the island is something that you will not regret and well worth the money! It's also safer than what you think to ride these awesome things as all locals are very intuitive drivers and respect the tourists. ||||Thank you...

Flora and Jack are a dime in a dozen. Flora engaged us at the outset when we booked by email and kept a clear line of communication throughout to ensure we planned our stay at Santorini comfortably. The entire stay was uneventful and we had no problems with the accommodation. Wifi worked just fine, we could come and leave late without any problems. We rented a quad, Manolis was the properietor down the street who gave us a decent offer. I wish I could rate his services as well. Jack stayed up till 12 AM to see us off the day we were leaving even though we had checked out 12 hours earlier and our bags were still at the reception. If you want a peace of mind on your stay at Santorini, combine a stay at the floralia and a hire a quad and youll wish you had...

Se encuentra en Kartherados, lo suficientemente cerca de Fira como para ir dando un paseo a pie de unos 30 min, o a una parada de autobús.|Y lo suficientemente aislado como para disfrutar de la calma de este bonito barrio y las amplias vistas al mar en el horizonte, desde la terraza de los apartamentos.|Están parcialmente remodelados, suelos nuevos, baños cómodos y adecuados, buena limpieza diaria, con cambio de ropa blanca diaria.|Son amplios, con dormitorio separado de la zona de estar y cocina con lo necesario y detalles de cortesía como agua, galletas, mermelada, etc. si no quieres salir a comer fuera. |Muy cerca hay dos supermercados y la famosa panadería de Kartherados, y varias tabernas muy recomendables por calidad-precio.|Cuentan con servicio de recepción de 9 a 21, aunque hemos llegado más tarde casi todos los días y aún estaban allí Flora o Jack para saber si necesitábamos algo.|Un detalle importante es que también incluyen el servicio gratuito de transfer desde y hacia el aeropuerto de Santorini, y nos ayudaron a conseguir un muy buen precio en el transfer desde el puerto a la llegada.|Pero sin duda lo que hace de este lugar un sitio excepcional es la calidad humana de los jóvenes que lo gestionan, que han apostado por un proyecto que notoriamente les ilusiona y ponen todas sus ganas en hacer que te sientas a gusto y como en casa.|Cuentas con ellos para informarte, intercambiar impresiones y charlas.|Nos dieron consejos para visitar pueblos interiores preciosos a los que seguramente no hubiéramos ido, sitios buenos donde comer, y se preocuparon de que nuestra estancia fuera cómoda y agradable.|El último día debíamos dejar la habitación a las 11, y teníamos todo el día por delante, con un vuelo en la madrugada, y nos permitieron quedarnos en una de las habitaciones, negándose a cobrarnos aunque lo propusimos.|Un gran saludo, Flora, Jack y demás, y adelante con ese precioso proyecto que estais llevando a cabo, tenéis toda la calidez humana que se necesita para marcar...
