We had a wonderful time at Nostos Santos.||||The location is great; it's tucked away but only a few minutes walk from the beach, and not too far from the Perivolos bus stop (maybe 10-15 minutes?) so was super practical. There's also room to park for those coming by car. Perissa was perfect for us: cosy, quiet but fun, not too crowded and the hotel is really easy to find.||The hotel in itself is very cute and pretty, it's lovely with traditional colours. The swimming pool is great, at a nice temperature, with loads of lounge chairs that are always available in the sun or in the shade, and a little area to have a snack or eat breakfast in the morning.||||The studio was perfect for us. We loved the stone floors and the little balcony, and loved the art on the walls (some of which done by the manager's parents which is just lovely!). The space is nice and there's room to sit, hang clothing, do make-up or work... Really great, and the air con works very well.||The kitchen area was sufficient for us over a week, with a hot plate and a sandwich press and very basic equipment. It might be worth leaving some salt and pepper and kitchen towels or a hand towel, because we bought some and didn't finish it. We left it for the next guests, but it would be a good thing to have around, as well as maybe a couple bags of tea? But overall the equipment was just fine for us.||Our double bed was nice but very, very soft. I have some back issues so it was a bit too soft for me but I think it's personal preference, and the small bed in our room was much less soft and perfect for me so maybe it was just this bed that maybe needs the mattress to be switched around :) The bedding was changed very regularly and nice, though a bit rough - nothing bad though, it would just be a bonus to have something a little softer.||||I saw that people commented on how small the bathroom is but for us two it was just fine. Yes, water runs out of the shower space (there's no doors or curtains or anything, it's an open shower), but the floor is made for that, dries super quickly and there's a window to air it out. It doesn't go in the kitchen area and there's nothing that can be water damaged on the floor, so I don't find it to be a bother. However, do note that pretty much everywhere on the island the water running down from the showers and sinks is salty still. We would have liked a couple more shelves to put our products in the shower and around the mirror and sink, and maybe one more bar to hang our towels.||||The balcony is really cute and lovely and there's space to hang your swimsuits and such which was perfect for us. The view out onto the swimming pool, and, further, the beach was lovely and peaceful.||||The cleaning team is AMAZING. We loved them! They were super lovely and efficient and there were tones of little touches we really appreciated. We didn't have time to do our dishes one morning, and when we came back they had been done and put away. Our phone cables were regularly folded and rolled correctly, our books organised and tidied, one day we found a beach ball waiting for us - we suspect somebody saw us playing in the pool and thought we'd enjoy it (we did!). The bed was nicely made and the towels changed everyday and the team was very discreet and took advantage of us leaving to explore to do the room. Plus we really, really appreciated that they got it ready for an early check-in with the manager. That was really helpful.||||We had breakfast twice there and it was scrumptious! I wish we had had more time to have it more often. Super diverse, local, absolutely delicious with tons of choices and everything is better than the last. The pastries are super buttery and just like the delicious rolls baked by the manager and her team; the fruits I believe are also cultivated by the team and they're so so good (the watermelon is to die for), and we loved having local foods like tomatoes, feta, greek coffee... while also finding some stuff that is more familiar to us with the rolls, pastries, juices (freshly pressed I think, they were delicious), and jams. There's also an egg served with it so we were so full after breakfast I brought some up to my room!||||Just a note that there is a bus stop near the hotel but the buses only go there about three times a day apparently, but Perivolos like I mentioned is really not far. There's a mini market right opposite which is super practical, and it stays open really late.||||Finally, the manager, Eleni, is absolutely wonderful and the heart of the place. We often ran into her as she worked around the hotel, she was so helpful, warm, super responsive when I reached out to her by email, flexible, kind and absolutely lovely. We really appreciated how far she went out of her way for us: she left two water bottles for us in the fridge, noticed I loved the watermelon so got me a huge portion on my second breakfast, arranged a perfect transfer to the airport, was always available for questions or requests... Eleni, thank you so much. You were wonderful!||||We would love to go back to Nostos Studios and will miss our time there. It felt like home away from home (except no chores!) and our time spent there relaxing and enjoying the hotel were some of our favourite moments on the island. The value is also excellent for the room and breakfast (10 €, well worth...
Read moreWe stayed at the hotel for 11 days and would like to share an objective review. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but it would be great if the hotel paid more attention to cleanliness, improved breakfast quality, and provided stable Wi-Fi in every room.
Pros: • 5 minutes’ walk to the beach, with clean and calm sea full of fish. • Clean swimming pool. • Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. • Sunbeds are old but comfortable. • Convenient shop nearby with everything you need and good coffee. • Fresh beach towels provided daily. • Early check-in and late check-out were allowed free of charge. • Possibility to cook your own meals — kitchenware and stove available. • Car rental available through the hotel on good terms.
Cons: • Room cleanliness was poor: cleaning was quick and superficial. • Very small bathroom, hot water smells like rotten eggs (sulfur). • Wi-Fi in the room barely works, constantly disconnects — we had to use mobile data instead. • Breakfast: very limited choice, same food every day. Coffee machine makes only espresso. If you come later, main dishes and cold cuts are gone and not replenished. Would be nice to have more variety, fresh pastries or croissants. Instead, dessert every day was just a store-bought cake. • Air conditioner positioned badly, blowing directly onto the bed. • Bed was small with an uncomfortable mattress; bed linen was not changed during the stay. • Fresh towels did not smell fresh. • Furniture is...
