TLDR; This was the recommended by our private tour guide. While the views were spectacular that overlooks the sea, the food was abysmal. Ambiance (5/5): The restaurant is completely open and is just a few steps away from the beach. There was several options for seating and we were surprised that we were only one of 3 parties seated. We later drove the rest of the strip and all the other establishments were packed! (Should have taken the hint...) Service (4/5): Wifi connection available via QR on the table. The service was good and the staff was patient with our large group when we were ordering. Tourists beware!! I google translated the receipt and they charged us $1.5 euro per person for bread for the table!! I would pay attention to what you're ordering to see if the quantity/items charged are correct. Food (ranked from best to worst): Mackerel ceviche (5/5): Super flavorful and fresh, lemon forward but tasty Tomato Balls (4/5): Slices of tomato that are coated with breading that is crunchy and accompanied with a mayo dip Santorini Salad (4/5): Fresh tomatoes with a block of feta on top was refreshing! Fried Snapper (3/5): Fresh snapper that comes in 3, lightly breaded/fried, not much flavor with the exception of the head Shrimp pasta (3/5): A couple of shrimps were mushy (indicating not fresh or spoiled), with pasta that lacked flavor French Fries (3/5): It's hard to mess up French fries but these were limp and tasteless Fava Puree (2/5): Not sure why this is a local favorite Green beans (2/5): Bitter greens Veal w eggplant puree (1/5): The toughness of the meat either indicates it was overcooked or not a veal cut. The tomato puree was sweeter than expected. Pork souvlaki (1/5): The pork pieces were chewy beyond belief. I felt like my jaw was getting a...
Read moreOur hotel recommended this spot in Perissa, so we came with the intention of trying fresh fish (a must in Santorini). The server took me to the back to show what they had on ice, explained the flavour of each fish, recommended preparation styles, and weighed the ones I chose so I could confirm the price beforehand. She also made sure the kitchen was aware of my partner’s gluten-free needs, which we appreciated.
We ordered fried red mullet, grilled sea bream, fava purée, fries, pita, and boiled greens.
Highlights: the red mullet was great - we wished we had ordered more than one. The fava purée was extra creamy (a style I prefer to the more textured version). The fries were fantastic - thin, crisp, and served in a huge portion, easily enough for 3-4 people.
The boiled greens were good - it was a big portion size of boiled spinach served with lemon and olive oil.
I didn’t think the grilled sea bream was anything special, and feel it was on the pricy side. I also wish the pita was better, it was just generic supermarket stuff.
The restaurant has an airy and open plan with a nice view...
Read moreThis place is not a tourist trap! I repeat, not a tourist trap! I decided to go there based solely on the photos of the deep fried shrimps on google and expected nothing more than just “another” beach restaurant. But we were blown away by the outstanding service(friendly, very attentive, and professional), generous portion of food and its sublime taste. The presentation of the food was also the feast for the eye. The table arrangement was about right, seats were not crammed together. The WC was really clean. Also Kudos to the QR coded menu! As a germaphobe I can’t tell you how happy it made me feel. And the best part of it all is the price. It’s BEYOND reasonable. Worth every single cent! Highly...
