Krios beach Camping — Hotel in Paros Municipality

This place gets a bad rep, from people that pay the reduced price of staying on a campsite but expect a hotel. You get what you pay for at Krios camping, and more. The on site facilities are perfect, with a mini market, loads of toilets and showers, a bar and resturant, and of course, the beach. If you pay the increased amount for a cabin, you get a/c, 2 comfortable beds and a locked door, which I recommend. The campsite staff were extremely helpful, and the bar staff loads of fun. The beach it is on is extremely beautiful with the nicest sunsets every night. The only thing you have to worry about is reduced level of security (being on a campsite) and the 30 min walk into port of paros, though the free shuttle bus takes care of that. The other campers were majority Belgian or French scout groups, although we did meet some older fellow brits and Irish, so the opportunity to socialise is there. Without a doubt the worse campsite I stayed in during my 6 weeks travelling around the greek islands.

I arrived late and wanted some food but they wouldn't let me pay by card (they have a card machine!), I had to travel 30 minutes on a bus back to the port/town to get food and then return, the overall round trip was around three hours. All because they don't want to pay any taxes (card transactions are traceable) and would prefer cash so they can not put it through the books!!! Crazily frustrating when its night time and you have been travelling all day!

Young seasonal workers on the bar were friendly, much nicer than the older owners/workers who seemed depressed and angry. Moody staff on front desk but worse was the toilets.......

The toilets were absolutely rotten with poo everywhere and no toilet paper.

Go somewhere else...

If you are looking to spend the summer at the Paros with no worries, economy and chilling this is the best camping at Paroikia. Only a few minutes from the center by free bus from the port to the camping every one hour its quite with the beach only a few steps away from your tent. Also if you are feeling not to choose the beach there is a pool on the upper side of the camping . I went there this summer with my friend and two girls its was very nice. One more tip if you want to discover and expirience the island with another point of view you can rent scooters and the fun does...
