I visited the Cabana Beach Bar Restaurant in Paros, Greece on May 25th, 2024, which is still early in the peak season, and had a somewhat disappointing experience. While the beachfront location was beautiful and the bar had a nice, laid-back atmosphere, there were several issues that detracted from our visit.
The main area of concern was the quality and selection of the menu items. The food we ordered was underwhelming - the dishes lacked flavor and did not seem freshly prepared. The menu also felt quite limited, with a fairly basic selection of typical beach bar fare. As someone who enjoys exploring the local cuisine, I was hoping for a more inspired, high-quality culinary experience, especially given that it was still May and the establishment's workflow should not have been overwhelmed.
In addition to the subpar menu, the service was quite slow, with long waits to order and receive our drinks. The bathroom facilities also were not as clean as I would expect for an establishment of this type.
The pricing also seemed a bit high for the overall quality and experience. I would suggest the owners review their menu offerings, ingredient sourcing, and pricing structure to ensure they are providing good value to customers, even in the shoulder season.
Overall, while the setting of the Cabana Beach Bar Restaurant has potential, the execution across various aspects of the experience fell short of my expectations. I hope the owners will look into making some improvements to enhance the customer experience, especially during the earlier parts of the season. With the right refinements, this could be a truly standout beach...

The service was awful our waiter appeared maybe once every two hours, and any drink we ordered took 45 minutes to arrive.
When we asked about lunch, our waiter told us to just go up to the restaurant whenever. We did — only to be told we needed a reservation, then shuffled from one staff member to another like it was some kind of bad comedy. The hostess was beyond rude, treating us like we were a nuisance. We finally sat down only to be rushed through lunch because they put us at a “reserved” table. Our waiter was openly hostile. The food? Mediocre at best. The octopus was awful.
Once the DJ event started, the entire place fell apart. Waiters running around aimlessly, no one taking orders, no drinks arriving. We tried to order directly at the bar, but the bartender was more interested in flirting with girls and doing shots with the staff than serving guests. At one point he looked like he was on another planet entirely.
To top it all off, they brought us the wrong bills multiple times during the day, and at the end slapped us with a €465 check. When I asked for an itemized receipt, they flat-out refused. Based on how sloppy they were all day, I wouldn’t be surprised if they charged us for other people’s orders too.
This place is a tourist trap. Rude staff, awful service, disorganized chaos, and questionable billing practices. There are so many better spots in Paros save yourself the money, frustration, and insult, and go literally...
Read moreOne of the most pretentious and insincere establishments I’ve encountered in Paros. At first glance, the venue is styled to appear high-end, but a closer look reveals it’s all surface gloss — cheaply executed and purely for show.
The welcome: Upon arrival, my girlfriend and I approached the manager to rent a sun bed, have lunch, and spend the day. His first reaction was not hospitality but a visible look of disapproval. We were told there were no sun beds available and that our only option was to sit at the bar. I pointed out four empty beds directly beside him, but he claimed they were reserved. Less than five minutes later, three women in revealing swimwear arrived. The manager’s demeanor changed instantly — warm greetings, introductions, and an offer for those exact same beds that had supposedly been taken moments earlier. It’s hard not to notice that some guests seemed to be evaluated on appearance rather than booking status.
The staff: At the bar, service felt reluctant and disengaged. Staff members avoided eye contact, spoke minimally, and gave the impression that serving customers was an inconvenience.
The value: This was the most expensive venue I visited in Paros, yet both the drinks and food were average at best. The pricing appears based more on image than on quality.
In summary: If your idea of a good time is paying premium prices for ordinary food, diluted drinks, and selective service based on appearance, this is your place. For anyone expecting genuine hospitality or fair value, there are far better options elsewhere...
