Note to the owner and management. Some of your staff need some serious training.
Food & drinks were 5/5 stars but the service was the worst we have had in all of Greece on our 3 week trip. Your staff is in the service industry and they need to understand that.
They have jobs because of tourists. Everyone else seems to get it.
I would have spent double what I did and tipped 20% if the service was on par with the prices you are commanding.
You and your staff are losing $$ because of this. Now I understand all of the poor service reviews.
We sat in front row sun beds and weren’t approached for nearly 30 minutes for service once we got there. I literally had to go find someone to ask how to order.
Every time we needed something we had to flag down a server and ask. This is unacceptable and I don’t care about paying higher price points but the service needs to parallel that.
The only time we were asked how everything was is when we were paying the bill and she was asking for a tip.
Give some SERVICE training to your servers.
The hostesses also were not welcoming at all. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place surrounded with happy people on vacation looking to have a good time, not sure why they were in such bad moods.
While waiting for a car to leave, I noticed them judging people and making remarks to each other about guests on vacation who are their to enjoy themselves and your establishment.
Overall I’d recommend coming here for drinks/food/vibes but don’t expect to have service you’d expect for the price point.
Again, I would have stayed 2-3 hours longer and happily spent way more money but I was tired of searching for my server to order something, so we left earlier than planned.
Hopefully this message gets to management so they can fix it, and will also set up anyone thinking of going here for the experience they will...
Read moreThere is something wrong with this place. We've been coming to Greece for a month+ each year for 6 years, including 4 years to Paros.
As almost anyone will attest, Greek hospitality is among the best in the world. Warm, friendly and inviting.
The staff at Crios was by far the most unhappy, inhospitable of any restaurant or beach club staff we've encountered in Greece, ever.
Starting with the gruff valet guy, to the unfriendly clerk in the clothing shop where I bought a swimsuit, to the clueless hostesses who struggled to get someone to take us to our sunbeds, to the unsmiling waitstaff who we had to get up and chase down to order from since they seemed to be purposely avoiding us, to the bartender who pointed over to the restaurant when I said we had a reservation for 2, to the waitress who wouldn't seat us at the restaurant without us trudging over to the hostess stand, only to be brought back to the table to be seated, to the waitress who didn't want to bring us olive oil and vinegar because she said it was already on the salad, to the manager who brought back the chicken we sent back because the sauce was overly sweet, to tell us he wouldn't take it off our bill, because it's supposed to be sweet, even though we didn't ask for it to be taken off. (They did try to fix the chicken, but it was too little, too late).
On the plus side it's a nice facility, the sunbeds are comfortable, the beach is picture perfect, the spicy calamari was delicious, the Greek salad above average, the clams with linguine was good.
Unfortunately the fried anchovies were overly battered, and the aforementioned chicken has a sickly sweet sauce on it.
There's a management issue that needs to be fixed before we would consider returning.
Many of the previous glowing reviews come from people who have only left one previous review, and appear to be friends...
Read moreI booked my reservation back in June for August 12th, 11:00 AM, for 2 people in the 2nd/3rd row. When we arrived, the beach was almost empty, yet we were placed all the way at the far end in the 3rd row. I asked why we couldn’t move to a more central spot in the 2nd row since there were clearly plenty of available sunbeds, and was told: “We have many groups.”
Later, when a staff member came to take payment, I asked again. She said: “They are prebooked” and even implied I might have called too late. When I explained I had booked back in June — and offered to show proof — she seemed surprised, said she would ask, and then disappeared for a long time. She eventually returned only after the beach was completely full, saying: “I didn’t forget you, we cannot make it.” It was almost funny how she showed up only once the beach bar was packed — a clear sign they just didn’t want to accommodate us.
I also saw other tourists (GROUP🤣) having the exact same issue. A woman with short hair from the reservation team, in particular, spoke to the tourist abruptly and unnecessarily, which only made the experience worse.
To add to the atmosphere, there were people walking around selling clothes, necklaces, and other items — making it feel even less like an exclusive beach club and more like a public beach with nice furniture.
While the venue itself is beautiful and the sunbeds are comfortable, the organization, honesty, and attitude of the reservation staff fall far short of expectations. For the prices they charge, this is absolutely not value...
