Magoo Suites — Hotel in Paros Municipality

This is a hotel, no longer a cafe. We had a mixed experience here and will present all aspects of our stay below. Main point: not worth the 220 euro/ per night price, bad housekeeping/maintenance, extra charge for towel change, the stay not comfortable

Pros: 1- great location , 10 min walk from piso livadi. cafe and beach next door 2- nice owner who gave restaurant recommendations 3- comfortable bed

Cons: 1- Housekeeping is not up to par. The floor always felt dirty even when we 1st checked in and the first night a big millipede ran across the room. 2- The sink and shower both did not drain properly and anytime we showered we would be in a pool of water almost ankle deep. 3- Each guest is given one small hand towel, one bath towel and one beach towel for a 3 night stay. If you wanted new or additional towels it was a 10 euro charge. I've never experienced this at any of the other places I've stayed. 4- The reception closes at 17:30 (5:30PM) and no one will answer messages after that until the next morning, so you're on your own after 17:30. This is the earliest closing time of any accomodation I have ever stayed at in Greece. 5-We stayed 3 nights and 2 of the 3 mornings someone barged into our room without knocking (it would be nice if they could call or check if guests are still in the room before entering) 6- No tissues, hairdryer or safe 8- Housekeeping did not make our room the second day and just knocked and asked if we had any trash and left (keep in mind when they make your room, they are only taking out trash and making your bed. They aren't cleaning the floors etc)

This place could be really great given more care and maintenance and better housekeeping. The cleanliness level was not up to par. Given the higher price point ($220 euro avg a night) we expected more as we have been to Greece multiple times and for much lower than this price we have experienced really...

The suites have the best location: in front of the beach,next to tavernas and a minimarket, the bus stops in front of the door. The suites have amazing views. There were 2 rooms not separated by a door, 2 AC working well, good wifi. The shower and toilet are separated, but weirdly positioned, as you walk through the room to the shower, then through the shower to the toilet. I didn't like that you don't have a traditional closet, cleaning done once or twice, you have nowhere to dry your swimwear and towels. Parking is free and large,...

Outstanding resort. Close to good restaurants and convenience store for essentials. Front desk not physically attendant 24/7(~9-5), but very responsive to calls/emails. Exceptionally kind and helpful to English speaking only travelers. Shaded beach view area accessible to all guests. Small sidewalk between it and beach. Rooms are immaculately cleaned daily. Sea was warm and pleasant. Nearby tavernas and stores were tourist focused without gouging prices. All in all, could not recommend higher for a...
