Ouzeri Halaris — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

We spend nice evening in this place, but I'm giving 4 (food rated for 3), for very good service that made it up. Feta in filo covered with honey was 10 out of 10. Zucchini balls (that don't look like balls but rather pancakes) were a little bit too burned (you can see it on the picture). Then we moved to mains. Steamed mussels were ok, well cooked, though the "soup" without real taste that you can smell and feel while eating mussels in e.g. French Brittany. Octopus - this was terrible chewy and burned on the grill. Waste of food and unprofessional preparation. French fries served as a side for mussels were uncooked and we left half... Wine, very tasty, but...some dust was swimming in improperly cleared 0.5l vase. Maybe the waiters instead of staring into mobile phones could spend some time polishing glasses and carafes for wine ;) Anyways, I followed reviews and recommendations from locals, but seems that either i was unlucky or that's the quality of food served in this restaurant. Of course i gave an honest and friendly feedback to the waiter, he accepted it and thank for that. I didn't check other restaurants around, but, if you like tasty and well prepared food, there is plenty of choice that I'd consider testing before...

Ahhh if I could rate this place a million out of 10 I would!!!! I’m such a big foodie too and check every menu and set of reviews before I go anywhere. Please go HERE. Hands down the best seafood we had in the whole of Greece. No joke! I got the shrimp handmade traditional Greek pasta. Oh my god. I have dreamt of this meal over a week now. It was incredible.. fresh king prawns - the biggest meatiest prawns ever, in a sweet tomato sauce with handmade pasta. It was so generous too I got 4 huge prawns. Ahhh I don’t know if I’ll ever get over this meal. My hubby got the fresh tuna pasta and my god, the tuna melted in our mouths, it was spectacular and so fresh. Both of these dishes stood out 10/10, for me the shrimp pasta is the winner. We also got the trio of dips with bread and all were delicious. The service was incredible & eating on the marina of a small fishing village with cats by your feet is something I’ll never forget! Do yourself a favour and go here.
